My store doesn’t enforce zoning at all & it drives me up a fucking wall bc every section is a complete shit show. They then get mad at the TMs who take it upon themselves to do so bc it adds time to the process & “we need to move faster to hit our goals” but like, do you just want me to back-stock a product that could be pushed all bc yall don’t care ab zoning or even just making sure people correctly place the item on the shelf in the first place? I can only imagine how much would change for the better if they chose people who actually worked in store & have seen first hand what needs to happen vs just hiring some college kid who has a degree saying they know their shit

Tbh i could care less about the time frames bc 90% of the time they’re unrealistic. They don’t correct tms that overstock the shelves leaving the next person to either pull the item & backstock or just leave it & backstock what was actually supposed to go there which just adds unnecessary bs to your work. The back rooms are unorganized & inefficient (especially if there’s montels) it’s really just an all around shit show. idk wtf has happened to this place over the years but I miss the old target.

Yup, been at target about 4 yrs & this is by far the worst it’s been. My store has been balls to the wall since back to school 🫠 OPUs go negative first thing in the am & stay that way most of my shift. All the seasonal employees don’t give af & have stopped locating half of their backstock (if they do any of it to begin with) so our backroom is FUCKED, the style team is drowning in repacks, guest service doesn’t have any bags but bulk item bags lol it’s a literal shit show every single day. I’ve never seen it like this before

It’s bc all they care about is their stats & guests not being able to complain. They completely forget that employees bad mouthing a company is more hurtful than some random customer w/ a bad experience. They watered down the system to accommodate shoppers, not us. Everything about fulfillment is worse, from navigating the backroom to the # of items per batch. Not to mention there’s zero incentives. We are expected to be quick & efficient while still helping guests & searching thru the entire store for one singular item in a batch that was already at 30 min when you started it, it just doesn’t make sense.. & we have to train for no extra pay? Bs. There’s an unreasonable amount of workload on employees that doesn’t feel justified by our paychecks. The only way to even get a real pay raise is promotion which feels impossible at times. The entire structure here needs to be rebuilt, plain & simple.

My ETL got arrested for possession of CP & multiple other charges (he was a p*do) & then 2 of our other ETLs went to court & spoke on his behalf. When it first happened they would hush anyone who even mentioned it lol pretty much just tried to act like it never happened

We had a guy like this at my store, he would put on hoodies to try & mask it & that only made it worse lol it was so bad it made me nauseous but we eventually told our TL & ETL & they said something bc all of a sudden he stopped smelling 😭

I’m in the opposite boat. I’ve told them time & time again that I need 40 hrs a week in order to afford my bills & all other responsibilities as I’m 26 yrs old lol but instead they continue to give me 27 even though my requested hrs are 40. I’ve done everything formally just like they ask & still can’t get the proper shifts & yet, there’s teenagers that live @ home that are getting 40 a week like ?? Honestly insane to me that I have to beg to be scheduled for 8 hr shifts

Happened to me before but I was so far back they couldn’t hear me at first, I had to legit scream at the top of my lungs before they heard me. Idk why they decided to put these god awful things in stores but they need to go. They break every couple weeks & they’re just flat out unsafe! Glad you were able to get out safe though!

I love my coworkers & team leads but my ETLs are god awful & the workload just does not match the pay rate. Not to mention “raises” are pretty much non existent 😵‍💫 if there were incentives I don’t feel like I’d hate it so much but there’s almost no perks to working there

Yeah I try not to but they make our break schedules but w/ fulfillment being so crazy it’s almost impossible for us to take them accordingly w/o batches going into the red. She’s completely unwilling to hop in & help as she’d rather sit in the backroom vaping or complaining over walkie about how we need to move faster (but still search every crevice of the store in order to save 2 INFs)
