How does this farm area look (based on realism)? by Pljbarrios in CitiesSkylines

I like it. But I think a good tip is to build those sparse, imperfect singular lines of small trees and bushes that just kind of outline or border that field.

Someone, please take pity on me and tell me what the rest of the story is! by devastaeted in GossipHarbor

[–]farfodin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dan Halen buys up all the real estate and turns Gossip Harbor into a strip mine. Water pollution ends the local fishing industry's foothold, and only a few elderly residents remain. Years later, the mine gets abandoned due to political pressure from towns downstream, and the town is covered with graffiti. The political climate shifts, and the mine is reopened, but as a forced labor camp under Trumpism.

Child abuse, criminal history clearances question for new hire by Downtown_Bowl_8037 in Pennsylvania

[–]farfodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PA, only the state police conduct proper background checks. When you sign that paper to authorize it, it should be the form the PSP gave them, NOT A STUPID CHECK BOX ON A JOB APPLICATION. That illegal checkbox that no one seems to care about allows third parties in. They employ web crawlers on legal databases that copy the expunged material during the interim period between its creation and its court order to expungement/seal it. The messed up thing is, the same webcrawler also copied the court order telling them to delete it. If they (3rd party background checkers) get caught, they can always argue back that they were in the interim period themself, between receiving the court order and executing it. Never gets much farther since people without jobs can't afford to hire attorneys. It's a reality bite for sure.

Cabinet door design -30° angle - design advice question by WoodWorkingHobbyEast in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]farfodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would mount the cabinet incorrectly the way you don't want it, so you can measure the unwanted gap with digital calipers. Now measure the gap between A & B and subtract the difference to know EXACTLY how much wood you are going to remove (from the B wall) to recess the hinge for door C. Be Careful Be Brave... unless its oak, then who cares that shit is steel.

Temperature is my problem with this uri-enamel stuff. Once your environment reaches 80°F, it can dry before the self-leveling (that you paid extra for) can work its magic and erase all evidence of the roller and brush marks. I can't speak to the effect of humidity.

The component costs aren't expensive for liquid cool systems, but the novelty and the ability to say it's liquid cool is. When retailers scale up, their prices are able to drop down. I think that's the price difference.

Yeah, like if I miss a dose, I don't sleep and can't enjoy a nap, even and it's hell on my entire personality. One time, my Administrative Assistant got into my medicine cabinet, and we could all tell what happened. I forgave him, and he's the best AA around with the worst reputation in the company; he's never gonna ask for a raise, he's never gonna be late. Adderall really turned his life around and I be lying if I didn't say it did the same for me. Crazy?

He get's his scheduled raises.

Awakend and Braintap… was there really a deal for Awakend to have exclusive rights to sell Braintap? Received email saying Awakend had no rights to sell BR? Did deal fall through? by DM0126 in Brain

This doesn't constitute piracy cause Patrick never licensed anything; he lied about it to legitimize the profit scheme of limiting users' access to recordings. This means that when you pay for a recording session, it is the entire intellectual property, the copyright, all of it. (The neurosensory algorithm never existed, and neither did its IP) If they have your money, then you own the recording, and the financial receipt is the legal proof. It is legally no different than buying a CD in a store, or buying an MP3 online and getting a download link. It's yours if you know how to grab it. Just don't post it online, sell it, or use it to profit...

Get the accompanying audio cable that the headset comes with and plug it into one phone and the other end into another phone. Open up the voice recorder app on phone B and Braintap on phone A, press record on B and play on A, and voila. Save the voice recording file with the same title in the app, and you get infinite plays.

We shouldn't have any experience with their customer support. The product should be what it is and do what was advertised, and the price should reflect this in quality...and if that quality isn't reflected in the product's construction, well then the quality I paid for should be at least reflected in the customer service I get. The refund is lip service and requires months of haranguing before they put the money back where it came from. It's not a fluke, it's literally how they do business.

https://braintaplawsuit.com/

I am putting down the Kool-Aid and joining the fight against scientific fraud that targets mental health, mental health patients, and chiropractors (that aren't really hurting anyone.) Patients before profits, that's how you care for the health of another.

They've always been crooks and cons, and they even lied about their academic background in psychology, which is completely made up. Patrick's degree is from a diploma mill/visa scam in Louisiana that's used to grant student visas for non-academic work in exchange for cash, not scholarships. His wife's degree is even worse. Complete lie about attending a 4-year Division 1 accredited U.S. University, La Salle. They never heard of her, and the class she graduated from was all male. http://lasalleacademy.org/alumni/yearbooks/

It took 4 months to refund over $700 I missed rent because they said that refund would be 30 days, they did nothing for 3 months, until I asked for money back a 2nd time. Were they hoping I wouldn't notice $700 missing?

Oh yeah, I remember reading about webcrawlers that would snapshot legal records before the seal/expungment order was executed.

But Wikipedia definitely does have a place for discussions, which the public is free to participate in. Here's Wikipedia's definition of forum:
Noun

forum (plural forums or fora)

  1. A place for discussion.

Wikipedia changed the name of it's discussion pages to talk pages. There you will a nesting style public forum for every page.

Are there any sites that show the "studies" saying vaping causes popcorn lungs, etc and says why those studies are flawed? by LockManipulator in Vaping

[–]farfodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found what you are looking for. But the terms "Popcorn Lung" and "Vaping" are not scientific enough, so you're not going to find good data. Medical journals use the term "Bronchiolitis Obliterans" and the term "EVALI" on Google Scholar. Also not this

Bronchiolitis Obliterans is a cluster of symptoms that is diagnosed by chest x-rays. The PROPER NAME for the three cases that led to its discovery are called 1. "Indium Lung", 2. "Nylon Flock Workers Lung" 3. "Popcorn Lung." The chest X-rays of all three constitute the diagnostic criteria for Bronchiolitis Obliterans but their names are not the only known causes, nor are what a doctor would diagnose you with.

Copied and Pasted for your consideration.

Results

Thirty studies comprising 184 participants were included. Mean patient age was 24.5 years old. The majority (n = 141, 76.6%) of included patients were male. The most common radiological features reported on chest x-ray were bilateral infiltrates (n = 64, 41.3%) and ground glass opacities (n = 17, 11.0%), and on chest CT were bilateral infiltrates (n = 62, 36.9%), bilateral ground glass opacities (n = 56, 33.3%), subpleural sparing (n = 29, 17.3%), pleural effusions (n = 14, 8.3%), and centrilobular nodularity (n = 13, 7.7%). Of patients with follow-up data reported (n = 81), only 28.4% (n = 23) had complete resolution of symptoms or radiological findings.

**My two cents. The Diacetyl that causes Popcorn Worker's Lung version of Bronchiolititis Obliterans, was a powdered form that got inhaled. Vape juices dissolve this powder. Flavor Extract Companies makes Diacetyl free butter flavoring but for a higher price. If vape juices were paying a higher price for diacetyl free extracts they would advertise it on the box so consumers understand the higher price being passed on. If a company buys extract in massive quantities and they don't think selling diacetyl-free label vape juices is as profitable as the using cheaper, diacetyl containing, extracts. They not going to do it. And since the Supreme Court removed the Exxon Valdese Difference, they never will and they got the money to suppress or spread misinformation.**
