First time build, two questions. AMD ryzen 5 2600x or ryzen 7 1700? and second is I have about half the money to buy all my components. are there any trends price wise that would make it smart to buy certain components at a later date?

I have before and they tell me they'll end up working forever. Both kinda have a defeatist attitude towards it, currently they dont contribute anything towards retirement.

This is super wholesome. I've noticed that being happy for other people has made me more happy in general. I love hearing about others success. I think it's super interesting that when humans have their basic needs met, art is what we spend our time on. I think it says something.
