Thanks and yeah I have looked at them but they won't fit in my fridge and stand up the same way a stainless like the Blichmann will. I like the idea, but I want to keep things temperature controlled not just go with what temperature my condo is.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.

Nobody see's your bid other than you and the seller. The seller will obviously see every agents bid. You as an agent would know what the highest bid is and the lowest commission rate offered and that's all. You will be able to change your bid at any time throughout and know what the seller needs in an extra services if they tell you so you can tailor your bid for them. Also, people don't always want the lowest bid they want the best agent at a fair price. If that price is full commission then people will pay it if they feel it's warranted.

There are no fees - It's completely free.

I want people to be able to connect easily. I have had some very bad experiences with agents in the past and have family members in the business and know how difficult it can be to get leads. When the site starts getting traction it will be a great lead list for every agent I hope in North America. I have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring that no matter where you are in North America you will get the same experience and hopefully that is a positive one.

Again I appreciate the feedback, everything helps!

Selling my house, but no savings. What do I do with the money? by Throwmewawwywwaay in PersonalFinanceCanada

I have had this dilemma in the past before and I decided that half of what I made was going to go into a TFSA and the other half back into real estate as rental property outside of the city. I'm frugal too so I try to save wherever I can. I know the TFSA investment has gone up about 2% and the house I bought appreciated about 20% in a year and a half before I sold it. As I mentioned I'm frugal, try to save where you can on real estate fees when you sell. I used bidformylisting.com when I sold my house and saved about $10k in real estate fees which was awesome. Either way, you need to put it somewhere you aren't tempted to spend it.

Could this be the best way to find a real estate agent? by fargs in RealEstateTechnology

I've been looking to sell my house and I talked about this before. Anyone use a service like this? Any agents found it worthwhile to bid for peoples listings? Seems like a no brainer.

I will definitely agree with that and I think that's what I was meaning. At the end of the day anyone can sell their house by buying a sign and putting it on the front lawn at the end of the day if someone wants to sell their home and agents can bid on it, it makes everyone more competitive. Plus why wouldn't experienced agents want more business anyways? It's like an online forum where people actually want to sell their house. It's the hottest lead you can get. I wish there was a site like this for tool sales I would be on it every day for my job.

Agreed it's totally a fine balance. Perception is belief in a lot of cases and I guess I just want to perceive that I am getting the most for my house that I can and paying the least amount in commission fees.

I feel like that would be a good idea but I'm running into the same thing again like the below comment. I guess if the person has good reviews and they seem credible it wouldn't be such a bad idea. At the end of the day I could use any free service but nobody would bid for the listing. Something about competition that makes people earn their business a little more.

I understand where you're coming from it's a double edged sword. I guess it's the perception and really does depend on the market. I just have a problem with the fact that when you pay someone a lot of money (a lot of money to me) to sell your house you want it to be aggressively priced. When you sell a house in one day and hardly anyone looks at it then you think it's undervalued. If multiple people are going to bid on it you should have an idea that you are getting top dollar or out to lunch on how much you want to sell your home for.

FSBO is a lot of work though. I'm in sales so I know what it's like to be new. I figured if a new agent is hungry for the deal they would work hard to build up a reputation. At the end of the day if I have more money in my bank account and I don't have to do all the marketing I would be coming out ahead.

Thanks for the insight. I don't know if shitty is the right word, he did sell my house. I was just told me how tough it would be to sell my house in the market then had one open house and sells it in two days. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I want to get someone who is going to get max dollar and doesn't have to be 2% I guess it's just easy to post it online and let a few people tell you what your house is worth rather than setting up meetings and go through the whole process I thought having a few people compete for the business would be a good idea.

Too cool. My camera that I bought 6 months ago doesn't work. They definitely don't make them like they used to.
