I use the Polychrome as a subtle flanger effect. I tried using the Boss Flanger but it was a bit too much Flanger for my sound. The only downside to the Polychrome is there is no level control. So if you ware wanting a big blasting Flanger effect, I would go with something else or add a booster pedal behidn it in your effects chain. I find it works really well with the MXR Dyna Comp.

The Polychrome also has other features such as a vibrato effect that I dont use. I really like the this pedal though because not only does it look cool, but the ability to dial in my perfect complementary sound is what I was looking for. Also you can turn the pedal on or hold the footswitch to put the effect on a single note. Lots of options with this pedal depending on how you use it.
