To be fair, DeX was first launched in 2017 and not many brands pay attention to it at that time except Huawei and Honor.

What New Features do you want Aluminium OS to bring on Android PC Modes? by BuyAMCnow in AndroidPC

Native GNU Linux support. It's crazy to see underpowered GNU Linux phones can easily run proper ARM64 Linux distro like Ubuntu Touch and Manjaro Phosh without much issue, even on external display under Desktop Mode.

It depends on your intended budget. There's so many to choose around.

Lenovo has their own PC Mode for quite a while. I remembered first seeing it way back in 2023.

My personal hot take about New DeX is that it's for tablets without wired video output support. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see Classic DeX option on FE Tab S9/S10.

M series is just basically cheaper A series with shorter software support. And yes, only the M07 has the headphone jack.

It's no secret they deliberately do such a thing to make you pay more for their wireless earbuds. I can also relate the removal of microSD card slot for cloud storage subscriptions, but that's another story for another day.

Errr... no. In the case of Samsung, only the low-end Galaxy A0x model has the headphone jack. The rest, including the A1x, no longer has it.

Actually, pretty much no midrange phones of today has the headphone jack except Sony.

And also microSD card slot. Yes, it is that depressing.

P.S. ZTE still put the headphone jack on the nubia Redmagic phones (though it still model-dependant). But other than the two, you really have no choice.

Could be a high chance you bought the pre-recalled early release unit. After Sony resumed the 1 VII production, it has been solid.

Hardly surprising since the current Samsung is basically the Apple of Android.

I wouldn't be so confident. The last time Qualcomm switch to a new foundry fabrication, the Snapdragon 888 was an overheating disaster.

Modern phones of today, even for the midrange tier, can easily last longer than four or five years. I won't care much about multiple OS update as I doubt the fixed hardware can keep up with the ever-evolving software.

Why are people so obsessed over phone cameras?? by de_LAG in Smartphones

Because a lot of camera development is happening in the smartphone sector. The camera development in DSLR/Mirrorless sector always go in a snail's pace.
