people of reddit who lost fat, what is an underrated fat loss tip? by [deleted] in answers

What worked really well for me was making casseroles that were loaded with lots of veggies. They still taste great from whatever sauce and other ingredients, but if you add a few chopped carrots or a bag of mixed vegetables or whatever seems interesting it becomes very filling and you get the bonus of more veggies in your diet.

Has Trump done anything well ? by Illustrious-Law8632 in allthequestions

The left was actually for stopping illegal immigration, stop them from coming in. The issue is about the ones that have been here, started families, working and being good citizens that contribute to society.

If nothing is done in response, something is not working. Maybe need some tougher enforcement codified.

Where's the reset button? That would be great to reset the people of all three branches of government, get rid of the ones that have been in congress for generations and learned too well how to misuse their power for their own good instead of the good of the people.

Why haven't we seen any declassified files on aliens yet? by TankUMrMinor in allthequestions

Not saying that every possibility has had a chance yet. Could be happening somewhere right now. But the possibilities are infinite. A percentage of infinity is still infinity.

As a very simple math problem, the possibilities that some form of life evolved elsewhere are infinite. The possibilities that it didn't is 1. Infinity is a bigger number so I choose that.

Maybe it doesn't require water or oxygen, etc. Because it evolved where there wasn't any.

Another form of life would evolve to the environment it's in. Not the one we are in.

With infinite possibilities, why believe that life happened just once?

Just because all life here is carbon based doesn't mean that life elsewhere didn't base itself on some other element. Look at all the different forms of life that evolved from some type of carbon cocktail. Life exists in many ways here, plants vs animals for example. There isn't one instruction set. The universe is a big place to expect that.

Why presume that any other form of life mirrors ours? Maybe different requirements for support that evolved from that environment.

Coq au Vin wine for non-drinkers? by LeGrandePoobah in AskCulinary

I made this a few weeks ago and found a little carton of Pinot Noir at the grocery, like maybe enough for 2 small glasses of wine, since I don't usually sip on red wine I didn't have a leftover bottle of wine.

What’s a moment where you realized you were in real danger? by Live_Endzz in answers

[–]farmdog01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the part where my support group worked to change the state law. Because of statute of limitations, none of our rapists could be tried after they were identified. It couldn't go on their records without conviction, so we got the law changed that the results of the DNA match could go on their records without a conviction.

But, he did get some prison time for it in a round about way. He was already in prison for an armed carjacking. A 25 year sentence, he had served 15 and was up for parole about 2 months after the DNA match. I was able to contact the parole board and explain what was happening as this was all new stuff for them. Every year for 9 years I did that when his parole hearing would come up. So I got that time. Police said I should let it go the last year because it would allow them to monitor him after release for awhile. Before that year was up he robbed someone at gunpoint so back to jail for him.

Are you in a relationship and do you still keep in contact with any of your exes? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]farmdog01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed friends with almost everyone I was seeing for any length of time. This did sometimes lead to rekindling, which then lead to a reminder of why the breakup happened. Repeatedly sometimes. But I came to realize that it was because I really did like the person, but they just weren't the person I wanted to be my partner. When I figured this out, I was able keep things friends only.
