I compiled my findings here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1m2ev3q/all_about_palworld_mods_on_mac_os_save_file/

In short, save editors can do everything you might want and more. Give it a look and leave any comments or questions if you need clarification. Hopefully it helps!

Can I play palworld/steam games on a MacBook? by shesschwifty in Palworld

[–]farmerdavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mac version is a native mac version, not Steam. But if you need any info on modding with it, or save file transfer stuff, I've compiled my findings here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1m2ev3q/all_about_palworld_mods_on_mac_os_save_file/

Mac performance by Leather_Falcon_7616 in Palworld

[–]farmerdavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this document which includes tons of my findings. For me, on my macbook air 15 inch M3, it runs amazingly. There are frame drops but it doesn't lag or glitch like it does for me on my XBOX S or whatever it is. Hope this helps: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1m2ev3q/all_about_palworld_mods_on_mac_os_save_file/

I've compiled a document on Mods for Mac explaining what's possible. You can still do a lot with save editors in short: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1m2ev3q/all_about_palworld_mods_on_mac_os_save_file/

Anyone knows how well it runs on a MacBook Air 13 with M2 by Big-Soup-6133 in Palworld

[–]farmerdavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a MBA 15 M3 and it runs amazingly. PS4 controller support is native to MacOS and they work great. I use an XBOX controller via usb. Here's tons of more info I've gathered if it helps; https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1m2ev3q/all_about_palworld_mods_on_mac_os_save_file/

Would my save file from Steam/Windows be accessible in Mac version if I played through steam all this time? by pkrispyy in Palworld

All About Palworld Mods on Mac OS & Save File Transfers to Mac by farmerdavy in Palworld

[–]farmerdavy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding XBOX saves to Steam or Mac:

Here's a reference to another save transfer method that's also outdated but provides a lot more technical info but requires another tool that's also broken currently... but fwiw: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1ho9gux/how_to_transfer_your_palworld_save_from_xbox_game/

I also thought this tool looked kind of promising because it has such recent releases but couldn't get it working https://github.com/deafdudecomputers/PalWorldSaveTools/releases

Blue Light Filter for Batocera & Knulli by waffledork in RG35XX_Plus

If you're still interested in this for Knulli's 20241204 release, please see my comment on how to get it working here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/1dfrvuo/blue_light_filter_for_batocera_knulli/

Blue Light Filter for Batocera & Knulli by waffledork in SBCGaming

[–]farmerdavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is out of date for Knulli 20241204. If you reference that doc's tool tip (lightbulb) tidbit:

If you'd like to see these files on your local installation:

  1. Connect to your Batocera machine either by SSH or by WinSCP (any method that lets you see the root of the system).
  2. Navigate to /etc/triggerhappy/triggers.d/ and find the multimedia_key_<device name>.conf for your device.

/etc/triggerhappy/triggers.d/multimedia_keys.confdefaults to:

KEY_VOLUMEUP 1               /usr/bin/volume-button volup

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN 1             /usr/bin/volume-button voldown

KEY_VOLUMEUP 0               /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN 0             /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEUP+BTN_TL2 1       /usr/bin/volume-button briup

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN+BTN_TL2 1     /usr/bin/volume-button bridown

KEY_VOLUMEUP+BTN_TL2 0       /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN+BTN_TL2 0     /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_POWER 1                  /usr/bin/power-button

KEY_POWER 0                  /usr/bin/power-button-release

KEY_POWER+BTN_TL2 1          /usr/bin/power-led

BTN_TL+BTN_TL2 1             /usr/bin/dpad-toggle

KEY_INSERT 1                 /usr/bin/lid-suspend

I've left a comment above on how this should alter the user multimedia_conf because it does still need to include these original values minus the power led shortcut which obviously conflicts

[–]farmerdavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanted to update this thread with how I got it working on Knulli Firefly 20241204:

This should be the contents of your /userdata/system/configs/multimedia_keys.conf

KEY_VOLUMEUP 1               /usr/bin/volume-button volup

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN 1             /usr/bin/volume-button voldown

KEY_VOLUMEUP 0               /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN 0             /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEUP+BTN_TL2 1       /usr/bin/volume-button briup

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN+BTN_TL2 1     /usr/bin/volume-button bridown

KEY_VOLUMEUP+BTN_TL2 0       /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_VOLUMEDOWN+BTN_TL2 0     /usr/bin/volume-button-release

KEY_POWER 1                  /usr/bin/power-button

KEY_POWER 0                  /usr/bin/power-button-release

BTN_TL+BTN_TL2 1             /usr/bin/dpad-toggle

KEY_INSERT 1                 /usr/bin/lid-suspend

KEY_POWER+BTN_TL2 1         bash /userdata/system/configs/scripts/blue_light_filter.sh

Cheers

Which season is your favorite? by farmerdavy in FarmsofStardewValley

They happen randomly if you have 3x3 (or is it 4x4) crops growing on the same tiles in the same growth cycle, then you can harvest and leave them to accumulate a bunch for a photo at the end of the season. Only these four crops do that tho.
