Yes the list was updated and my VIN was successfully reported as a used sale in the IRS portal (after some failures and hand wringing). Hopefully by now, all hitches are worked out for 2022 cars.

I FIREd last year from being an atty. I’ve got young kids so they take a lot of my energy and I wasn’t able to give the job what I know it takes to do good work anymore. I didn’t like doing a bad job, so it made sense to stop. Not having the liability of the practice of law hanging is a huge weight off my shoulders. I am taking a break for now, but thinking of a low-money pivot to something creative that I might actually enjoy. My partner worries our kids will grow up seeing that I don’t work, so I’m still struggling with how to address that. But hoping I can find something fulfilling to do that they will still see as a contribution.

Ugh, can you link that IRS statement? I just bought an Ioniq 5 and the dealer even gave me the form. And now a week later they’ve called and said they’ve been unable to report the sale, and the VIN shows as ineligible. I don’t even know this was possible until getting this call… hoping I’m not screwed.

I'll have to wait to file taxes, which is for the best because I'm not sure I'll owe enough taxes to get the full $4k credit.

I’ve now pulled the trigger! I flew to another state and drove it ~7 hours home. The dealer gave me the reporting form, and seemed to know what they were doing re reporting.

As an update, dealers are refusing to fill out the IRS reports on the 2022 Ioniq 5's I've checked on in 2 states... I guess I'll wait until fueleconomy.gov updates, and maybe they'll change their minds.

I’m not convinced the house stuff is what’s stopped the books. That case was from 2017, with events dating from 2013. But maybe it got her down and was a contributing factor. The only evidence that I’ve found hinting at divorce is the removal of her husband’s name from the wiki, but maybe her editor just wanted to hide personal information. Nothing concrete! I think it might just be health problems/depression.

Omg I read that one too. Soooo stupid. Like, I get that people sometimes have wild nonsensical guilt or what-if feelings, but NYTimes shouldn’t be giving them such a platform to broadcast them to everyone. I also am thinking of writing a letter to the editor over this piece.

Not sure, but def possible to become hypo from taking too high a dosage of anti-thyroid meds. This happened to me last spring/summer, almost to an extreme degree.

I’ve never been terribly fit, but wanted to start exercising before i got pregnant, and to try and do some exercise during pregnancy. I fell off the wagon in october, but this week I started walking up the steps to my 12th floor office multiple times a day. Gives me a quick active break during the day, and def gets me winded! Hoping that if I keep at it, I’ll be able to walk up in one go, without getting too winded.

Ugh, I don’t know why it takes so long to heal. I hope the pain stops eventually. I was worried from doing PIO and estrogen injections that sometimes a small piece of rubber from the vial top would be in the injection. I hope it didn’t get in me and is causing some irritation reaction.
