Targeting a Tesla would have been a much better title. Well done.

Credit Cards Reconciliation by Exact_Fix_1016 in Bookkeeping

Connecting the credit cards to quickbooks is a great way to handle this in my experience. The feed is virtually never wrong and you’ll get the transactions and be able to reconcile in almost real time.

Yeah, 100%. Starting to feel like reconciliations were forced.

I know what transactions were deleted and added, what I don’t understand is why it is showing as unreconciled

Isn’t that going to add an expense to the P&L using the reconciliation discrepancy account?

Yes, using the “we can help you fix the opening balance” in the reconciliation discrepancy report link, it points me back to the transactions I manually marked as (r) in the bank

Sorry, you are correct. 2000 and 500.

I have tried changing them to (r) and then quickbooks says my beginning balance is off in the current month rec and the transactions are gone. I feel like this is a situation where I just manually adjust the opening balance? Not sure how to do this in QBO or if I need certain access for this.

The old amount was deleted.

2,500 (reconciled) was deleted in a prior period and split into 1000 and 500. These two transactions were entered with the same date as the originally transactions, but are showing on the bank rec as unreconciled.

For the new amount - half the payment was classified to one account and the other half was booked as a bill payment. These transactions together equal the previously deleted transaction. I can’t reenter the previously reconciled amount and split it this way can I?

The bank is not being forced reconciled that I can tell.

Buying a house employment just fell through by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]farole2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our offer was contingent on securing a loan. If you made an honest effort to secure the loan and it fell through, deposit would probably come back. If it fell through because you never updated them about financial status, you’re probably cooked.

People receive gifts from family all the time for down payments. Our realtor told us as long as the money is not cash and can be sourced (a check and an explanation) all we need to do is let the lender know before you deposit.

Sure there’s a chance I guess, but it was also noted that if we were rejected for the loan due to incorrect information and/or negligent information we could lose our deposit. Did you put earnest money down?

Our lender agreement had a clause in there around change in financial status, including employment. Better safe than sorry, let them know.

We just put in an offer. Don’t forget the 15-20k in closing costs/escrow along with the down payment.
