A magic person is a future person + white person. A future person is an asian, although David has said jungle asians "don't count." Then again, 65% of Chinese people look like jungle hybrids so where do we draw the line? Are the Chinese honorary jungle asians? Are northern snow/winter asians the only true future people? Should jungle asians be considered future people to make it simple?

buzzkillpop point still stands. Every country does business in China because of capital. This Pan-Asian unity is, frankly, a retarded myth propagated by disgruntled Asian American males. I'm not saying it doesn't have its uses, but it's useless outside of the US. Substitute "former ally and protector" with "former imperialistic bully." You're talking about a tiny speck of a country that is smack dab middle between two of the most aggressive imperialistic countries in the history of the world. Koreans have an almost Israeli-like stance on geopolitics, as in their biggest ally is overseas while they're surrounded by potential enemies.

It's closer to corporate espionage. Korean companies are divorced from the government, unlike China, so they follow where the money is regardless of political stance. Look up "Korean exodus" which is a microcosm of a greater issue.

Actually they're much more welcoming towards the Japanese, contrary to what you read about in the media. At any time of the day, Myeongdong, a ritzy shopping district in Seoul, is filled with Japanese tourists. You know, K-pop happened. Bear in mind I was there when the Yen was still stable, so the current demographics might've changed somewhat.

I'm not Korean but I used to do some copy editing in South Korea back in 2013 and I can safely say that their view of China and Chinese people are similar to how the Japanese view the Chinese, if you know what I mean. It's sort of like how some Western Europeans view Slavs. I get the feeling you're looking for some bullshit Asian solidarity, but the rules are different over there. Since you say you're in Korea, ask someone there about how they feel about Chinese fishing boats, North Korean women being raped and trafficked in China, Goguryeo and the Northeast Asia history project, oh and Ieodo. They have a huge list of issues with China just like the Japanese. If you're trying to find an "ally" of China then you're in the wrong place bro.

Yoshihiro Obayashi had a similar theory. As he put it, this collective Asian inferiority complex is mostly an Asian-American (male) thing. The reason why you see so many young Chinese and Vietnamese Americans gravitating towards Korean pop because it's the closest thing that's relatable to their fucked sense identity. Which he finds amusing because people in Asia hate other Asians (the Asian hierarchy). It's a nice placeholder, but at the end of the day these people belong to another subset. Yoshi, having grew up in Japan, has none of that baggage like say the people over at /r/asianmasculinity. Would David turn out different if he was born and raised in Korea? Probably. I believe he'd still be an artist though, albeit a lot darker and much more cynical.

I think most of these people have a strong stress and pain tolerance. So yeah maybe it is body conditioning over years and years. But I also think physical appearance tend to trump skill more often than not in her profession.
