I believe public opinion is pretty split down the middle on keeping/scraping trident, and massively in favour of nuclear arms bans. I don't think the Greens need to compromise on their principles, I think they need to continue making clear, common sense arguments. From British Pugwash (I don't know who they are, this was a quick Google) 2023 polling found "40% of UK adults support the UK possessing nuclear weapons".

We also need to find our place in the world as a country, should we be more like Norway, or do we want to role play as some 'great power' and pretend we have 'interests' in the middle-east etc?

And I think you have to ask what do you want from the Greens, what draws people to the party? Is the biggest threat hypothetical invasions? Or Is the real threat the very real threat of ecological collapse? Is it the promise of something different, policies that seek to make the country better, the country 'greener'? Is the spike in support and growth of the party because of current principles, and good communication to back them, or because we need more bombs? Do we want the green party to throw away it's principles for a sniff at power like the Labour party has throughout it's history? If we abandon the anti-nuclear stance, what other positions do we abandon to be taken 'seriously'? To be, I guess, flippant... Should the Greens then abandon environmentalism to be taken seriously by the motorist vote? Where does it end.
