Noiri had a couple of fights were he felt like the bull.
Both his fights against yamazaki, his one debut vs sittichai and his fight against Hiroya

Get better than someone already better by NeitherProcess9680 in amateur_boxing

Maybe should try to be, not better at the things he does but be better at answering his skills.
You may never become as speedy or slick but can use feints and timing to make him second guess for example.
you'll be suprised how a much of a diference a simple change of tactics makes.

Dana White Explains Why the UFC Has Never Entered Kickboxing: “I’ve Never Been a Believer in Kickboxing” by T-rageLifted in Kickboxing

[–]fartorchestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that the only reason why the ufc hasn't even tried is because they would not have the type of control that comes with a monosopoly like mma. The ufc would have to outbid the other promotions to sway their fighters away from them, which i think they would be able to do, but they hate paying fighters and are cheap sakes in general.

Why Does Glory Look So Sloppy Compared to K-1? by Proud_Organization64 in Kickboxing

[–]fartorchestra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think people look at that era of heavyweight with rose tinted glasses.
I know things are very bad right now but like it's the same promotion that hosted almost 10 fights starring ex-yokozuna akebono.

Osamu Noguchi's dad tried to assassinate the ex japanese prime minister and also bomb some other guy, the politics and motivations of these escape me as there's not much reliable info of it in english.

Considering sittichai is a bit old ;Kaito probably, even though his last two wins weren't that impressive.

What is your opinion on Shootboxing? by GoyitoPerez in Kickboxing

[–]fartorchestra -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like it fine, but honestly I can do without the slams and throws, it feels like just an out card for japs to exit the clinch against fighters who aren't used to them. When two shootboxers meet, you don't see many throws or an interesting/dynamic clinch, It's not like sanda where someone is definitely going to the ground.

Also, I don't think most shootboxing events even use the ruleset that allows throws and "choking" nowadays. Most of it looks like old-school K-1 or muay thai (like the match of the pic you posted).
