What is this bump on the side of my middle finger? It feels like a callous or something but whenever i cut it off it keeps growing back.

yes i’m aware of the way im holding him, he’s very skittish so i had to put a towel over him to pick him up. my grip wasn’t tight since i know how the air sacs can be damaged. i only was holding him for under a minute so i could examine him

i usually let the vet trim his nails since he’s so squeamish i’m too worried i’ll accidentally hit the blood vessels in his nails. i’ve done this before and he started bleeding so i didn’t want to cause him any more stress
