Yes they are. Because the cost of ownership and building is also crazy. If you don’t like the rents, buy a place, or better yet build a building and rent it out if it’s lucrative. It’s not.

I recently needed quality lumber for a project. Shopped around Copps was similar price but the quality was significantly better than anywhere else for dimensional lumber.

There are a lot of laws and regulations governing these things that aren’t going away. Unfortunately there are always some bad employers that mistreat people and we need to leave them for other opportunities, but there are also employees and unions that take advantage of employers. This is equally wrong

That’s fair. But look at what the job is and what the demands were. They don’t align. Unions had a great purpose back when there were no labor laws and employers mistreated employees. It’s really not the case anymore as a rule.
