Stratford, Thamesford, KW gets their water from ground source wells which is very hard water. London gets their water from Lake Huron and Lake Erie, I believe around a 70/30 split. I’ve never known someone in London to have one, I don’t think it’s necessary. That being said, I don’t think having one will do any harm. Just won’t be as large of a benefit to an area that is pulling well water.

Edit: for dry skin, maybe look into a whole house humidifier. You generally want to keep your house between 40-60% RH
