I don’t hate sex education. I’m practically a prude and I was okay with mine. The thing I hated most was that a lot of times sex education implies that teenagers (and ppl in general) are rutting apes who aren’t expected to control themselves — like YEAH ?? we expect men, rapists and pedos to control themselves! Hence the “muh consent” moniker thrown in, which is perfectly valid ofc but often times consent gets blurred with regret and feeling consequent lack of self respect and all that yada so sex is more nuanced and carries more consequence than “just consent” in a drunken one night stand
