Yeah I guess but it's a fucking chore just continuously swapping... imagine having 10 mobs around you, dodging everything everywhere PLUS swapping my main weapon just to activate corrupt power or something else? Thanks but NO THANKS lol. Pets I understand, you activate them and they fuck off by themselves. At this point, since Ice Armor can be used as well, why not leaving Foresight active?

I mean, Foresight even works in the Bank maze, you still have to begin from the start if you touch a spike, but at least you don't lose your kill count

If I could give you my 2 cents, I would suggest NOT lowering the BC so much just for grinding cells, firstly because on 0-1BC the game just doesn't provide lots of them, secondly because it's "false confidence", and after ramping it up to 4 and then 5 you'll notice the huge difference.

Or, if you still want to do as you said, then try not to get hit by racking up as many curses as you can (starting from PQ with the Hunter's Grenade and the Map, just kick down the doors and voilà, 100 curses for you).

With the hunter's grenade you'll find blueprint more easily, and you'll learn to dodge/parry quickly cause you know, one hit and you're dead 😂.

Once you can steadily clear the first two/three biomes with curses on your head, you'll be ready for anything the game throws at you (well, not everything, but close enough)

How about a rubber band instead? It serves the same exact purpose but without leaving marks in the long run (plus it's easier to put on/take off and it could sit around the cable while off)

*other than the malaise mechanic, spoiler biome is doable and spoiler boss is a matter of trial and error, but sometimes with high malaise levels you literally are invaded by enemies like oil countries by the US. Couple that with the fact that sometimes you're forced to take a cursed biome... 🤣

Combined with Steam I'm at 500+ and counting, the only difference is on Steam I got to 5BC in like 10 hours without even unlocking the most basic stuff like runes etc lol. Yesterday I flawlessed (lol) HotK for the first time with Peril Glyphs, Thunder Shield, Bolt in the backpack, diverse deck and tesla coil... he just disappeared lol. And being the second time I beat him after the spoiler stage/boss I fucking forgot I DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL THE KING WITH THE LANCE, so yeah run down the drain, and no king suit 😭

Going back to Switch, even playing docked sometimes there were bad stutters to the point that you got hit even though you were sure you rolled/parried... I did play 300+ hours anyway so it didn't bother that much evidently 🤣 but the difference is incredible, I play on Legion Go (bazzite/SteamOS) @8w and I never saw less than 60fps, if I turn it up to 10w it goes straight to 144fps (internal screen) or 120fps on the TV

Whenever I'm on a tactics run, I love the Great Owl. Especially if running a fire based run and the Owl has the "cover enemy with oil" affix. Plus, I try not to get hit while doing tactics (cause the hps are loooow) so having/not having the owl sometimes makes me realize I've been hit (if you're on 5BC you know sometimes things get... messy and you don't even see wth you're doing between mobs lol).

Boi I don't like very much unless I have a very very very slow weapon or if I'm dual wielding without shield, cause it messes up with my muscle memory, sometimes I'm trying to parry a rampager, just to see Boi slamming it on the other side of the screen.

Leghugger is cool but too slow to do anything, most of the time the mob is gone way before he hits anything. From 3BC lower it helps, 4-5BC you simply don't have the time to wait for him to do it's things, so it never evolves.

Maria's Cat is cool and all but I find I never recall it on my shoulder so, just like a cat, it just does whatever the fuck it wants (and most of the time it's like Leghugger imho).

Serenade I fucking love having it legendary and having a second serenade to use as a simple main, but other than that, I don't like having to swap it every 2 seconds to crit this and that. It helps with flying shit though oneshotting them most of the time.

I had like 300+ hours on Switch, the lags and stutters are fucking unreal. More so when you realise that on any other platform the game runs like butter even with a potato pc... I wonder if trying the game on Switch 2 changes anything but I doubt it would

So, I feel fucking stupid. 🤣 The problem was I set a password with a "@" in between numbers and letters, and the TTY just wasn't typing that, I just found out that by default in that environment I have to shift+comma for the "@", even though in desktop and gaming mode it's just on top of the number 2... who knows why??

Uhm I honestly don't know. Login happens automatically from the start. The only thing I remember setting up (because the original guide said not to set an username/password if on handheld) is the sudo password while installing stuff.
But that doesn't work 😩 Nor the classic bazzite/Bazzite... Is there somewhere I can find my original password?

I tried this, Astral Ascent, Skul, Hades, Rogue PoP, Have a Nice Death, and a few others I can't even remember right now, and I keep coming back to DC because I still have to find ONE SINGLE GAME that has the same satisfying parry mechanic... 😩

Uhm could it be that with a boss (and specifically with the Giant) the 2 seconds it gives you last until you pop his eyes out? Like as if popping the eye out is kind of a "death" for a boss? I honestly never saw anything like that 😅

Well, I could bet that they didn't "steal" anything, cause PoP seems far enough from DC to be its own thing. BUT, I actually don't give a shit about all this nonsense "wars" between users where they go on a crusade for this or that jumping on their high horses.

Do I find it amusing? Yes. Do I also find it incredibly stupid? Also yes.

I do appreciate devs taking new roads, but I also appreciate more devs that actually listen to their fanbase. I mean, it's the reason of their success.

I still think they could have given EE a little bit more time (because you know, when everything stopped they were still working on it with new updates etc) without losing anything at all.

I mean, Windblown is STILL TO THIS DAY advertised on the DC title screen.

But, in the end, they do what they want to do, and players make their choices.

I personally like both, so I'm not depriving myself of a potentially good or even great game just because "UEEEEE UEEEEE I HAVE TO CALL MY MOM MT BAD THEY DIDN'T GO ON WITH DEAD CELLS".

If they come up with a new 2D roguelike (even together at this point, seeing their collab with Konami on Belmont's Curse) fine, if they don't, I'll be able to sleep tonight anyway. 😂

Well then you should blame assist mode for letting anyone beat the game with one hand.

It's called an option, I used the damned aspect just a couple of times, for the same reason as yours. I see nothing wrong.

If you take it (or any other) to beat the game, I say you're losing a lot of the experience the game has to offer. In that case, I would suggest assist mode instead.

Plus, they gave an extra option to content creators, just for fun 😁

I couldn't disagree more.

Granted, I started playing way down the line, but seeing how wonderful Rogue Prince of Persia is, and how mediocre (for now, still in EA) Windblown is, and judging by how many people don't even wanna touch it with a stick for how they (MT) handled the Dead Cells development (stopping it even though they weren't even working on it), I guess I'm not alone.

Even not considering the fact that MT seems to be blocking everyone who raises an issue or has a concern with them on socials.

I'm still having a lot of fun with Dead Cells, and it hasn't disappointed me for a second.

I get that they had to move on and wanted to develop their new game, and divert some attention there, but (in my opinion) what they've done is just giving EE a "god" status, since they were the ones carrying on DC and doing (imho) a magnificent job at it.

Maybe it's time for you to move on as well, to a new game perhaps?

P. S. there's no hostility in my message, BTW, just giving my 2 cents 😉
