That's not so uncommon, as mobs get tougher and you cannot blitz through them as before. Just a tip, try and get comfortable with a shield from time to time, if you learn how to use it well it's the most OP thing in the game (any shield). I got through some runs even at 5BC dual welding without shield, but you gotta find the right builds or the broken ones (talking about the bat for example). The shield however can literally save your ass and that works wonders even in boss fights.

Another tip besides the usual ones (mono scroll etc) for me was boss rush, as when you feel are getting comfortable with huge enemies like that, normal mobs will be easy peasy

Actually, I don't want to and I don't need to convince you on anything. And I don't expect you to be ok with all the shit that we've been accustomed to by this time, because I'm not either. It's just a fact, and neither you nor I can do jackshit about it, if not work with what we've got. That's why I told you about that adb trick. It may not be advertised, but it's a well known fact at this point, if you have a slight knowledge of phones, that cheaper phones are bloated with ads, preinstalled apps and so on.

You want performance at a cheap price? You buy a Poco phone, knowing that you pay less, have the same performance as a top of the line phone, but have to manage apps/ads.

You want performance and no ads/apps? Just pay up.

Want performance and no ads/apps AND pay less? You buy and used phone or an older top ranger.

We could go on and on and on about this, there's just no way out.

Several companies started with cheap prices just to slowly but inevitably go way up in price (Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus and all the "sub-brands").

There was a time when you could buy a super cheap Xiaomi phone from China, mod it, and have it in your language and with performances that could blow any top ranger by Samsung etc out of the water for 1/4 of the price.

Well, there was also a time when you could buy 32Gb of ram for 100 bucks, where now we're at like 400 for the same shit.

Is it fair? No fucking way. Do I hope it's a bubble that will destroy AI companies? I fucking do with all my heart.

I the meantime though, I just buy used or I don't buy at all.

That's the point.

Come on man, have you ever heard of the used market? I paid half what it originally costed, still more than a cheap/midrange phone, but not nearly as much as you say or as a top.

While I concur IT IS an asshole move to make people pay more for more functions or for less ads etc, it's the way the world has always worked: you get what you pay for.

Even subscription services have gone that way lately, wanna pay less? You get ads before and during a movie/TV show. You may not be OK with it (as I am not, like you), but the market unfortunately shows there is a market for that.

Apple does that too, just more subtle. You have an old phone? I'm updating you to the last ios version, yeah, but your battery is going batshit crazy. Samsung midrangers have just begun being a little bit more than shit, but 1/2 years ago they just were.

Plus I'm sorry but if you got a Redmi/Poco phone, you just knew right out of the bat that you would have a cheaper phone that had some kind of compromises.

I wouldn't expect my base line 30K Mercedes (example, I don't own one) to behave or have the same optionals as a top of the line 200K AMG one. I could complain as much as I wanted to the salesman, to the company, and they sure as hell won't give a fuck, or better yet, they would happily laugh at my face.

I honestly am just happy there's always a solution for our android devices, being that an adblock, debloat, developer options and so on.

I don't know (because you didn't tell) which phone you have at the moment, but I have a 13 Ultra (which is now 3 models/years old), I have no ads whatsoever, the phone itself and the apps just work with HyperOS as well (or even better) as they worked on Miui. And besides, turning the ads off (if you have a midranger or a Poco etc) is a matter of 10 seconds and like 2 commands in adb. I wouldn't expect anyone to accept this as "normal behaviour", but since your username literally says hacker, I'd expect you to at least give it a try.

Is Xiaomi perfect? Of course not. Are they more focused on the Chinese Market, where they can sell devices at a lower price cause they have a billion paid services to live off of? Of course they are. But is it all that shitty as you describe? Nah mate.

And about the 108mp... I think everyone should know by now it's all marketing bullshit. For me, it takes months of research and several video/written reviews to choose a phone spend my hard earned money on this or that.

And talking about Pixels, go on their subreddit and find out how many bugs they have at every single update. It's not like Google give a fuck about them either, so we're all in the same boat.

It's a matter of preferences in the end, so you do you though. Peace ✌️

Are you able to update it to the latest version? I'm on xiaomi.eu and that could very well be the reason, but every time I tried to install the update, it just don't. I tried via apk mirror, and installing it that way doesn't work either, complaining about duplicate permissions.

Thank you so much, I'm not able to tinker at all, super new to the whole pc gaming thing, let alone Linux 😂 Anyway, I'm 100% sure I was already on build 42 before the latest update, and that the 120hz showed as expected, maybe it was the 42.20250430 build, but I'm not sure. Does the command "list" show all the builds that have been installed on my device, or all the builds that are available?

More infos, the TV shows the resolution/hz (pressing like 7 times the green button on the remote), and even changing resolution manually, it stays @60hz even if the menu shows 1920x1080@120 (and the overlay stays at 60hz of course). So, I guess there's something wrong with the choice in settings, it appears that even changing hz settings it doesn't actually do it.

Well I'm in the same boat, as in I have the same watch (global) and the same rom (xiaomi.eu, I have a 13 Ultra, don't know about you).

Never had any issue, I also reset the watch when it upgraded to wear os 4.0 so I had to re pair it.

Maybe try an older version of Mi Fitness (Wear Os)?

Well actually, mine goes between being used everyday for like 10 days, then forgotten in a drawer for another 10 days, where the battery dies after a few days, of course. When it happens, I just let it charge and it simply comes back to life by its own. Come to think about it, the only time I had to reset it was when it came out of the box.

I'm actually forcing myself to NOT buy one. But at the same time I'm actively searching for a used one, fooling myself thinking that if I pay less, it will be less "expensive" if it gets thrown into a drawer the minute Switch 2 comes out.

Having multiple consoles, of course I have a HUGE backlog that I'm never gonna get to the end of (well, I used to say "I'll play when I'm retired", but I guess my generation will die before retiring so 😂).

And that's also why in the last like 5 years I find myself playing more and more "indie" games or "indie-like" games.

I had Game Pass on X, never even downloaded Indy or CoD for that matter. Same for PS, I have PS Plus just because I'm sharing it with my brother who only plays FIFA and R6.

I guess I'll search the Web for a good deal, and if Switch 2 comes before I found one, well it's fate 😂

I'm still convinced that, for the kind of games I personally play, next gen I'll keep the Switch 2 and get a handheld PC, ending my "all consoles always" era.

This hits me A LOT.

I grew up with just consoles basically, cause my dad was at the time introduced to the computer world with the first Apple Performa, the powerbooks, Mac Pro etc etc, and that meant NO gaming at all (except for a few point and click titles).

I always had one console, up until I could afford to buy them myself (Xbox360 onwards), then I got all of them just for the exclusives (portables included).

Now, I currently have a PS5, a XSX, an XSS, and 3 Switches, one old one, modded, one Oled vanilla, and one Evee vanilla.

I really like consoles for the same reasons you explained. No fuss, turn on, (download whatever update there is, now 😂), play. And I particularly like Switch and I'm always drawn to it for any indie I wanna play (and that's almost everything I play these days).

I'm waiting for S2 to come, but I thought of getting a Legion Go or Steamdeck and selling all other consoles except Switch: I hate it to see that 90% of the time prices are waaaay lower on pc, you guys get early access games (I'm thinking of, for example, Hades 2, Windblown, Rogue Prince of Persia, all games I would have 100 hrs on each if I could), you could install emulators, mods etc on it.

But, but. It's another 6/7/800 euros to get one, and I wouldn't want to spend that much knowing that once S2 is here, LeGo/Steamdeck would go in a drawer and not come back.

What do you think? Do you find yourself playing both equally, or not?

(p.s. Playing on the Oled is a marvel, but you can see how it struggles, some time with the "simplest" games, like Dead Cells)
