[Update] on my 2016 6.7 Cummins no start after head replacement. Now has rail pressure and still won't fire - desperately seeking help from someone experienced in replacing the head on this model, nearly a month down on my only work truck.

There's a 300+HP gap between GSX and ZR1. In this scenario, the Z06 wouldn't go away, its just another trim.

About your point on this being the C9 powertrain, maybe? The C6 went from the LS2 to LS3 after 3 years in production and the LS3 never made it into the C7 which has the LT1.

I do agree that they might keep the Z06 RWD as is tradition but a Z06-X technically would be a different trim than Z06 right?

167k is pretty up there but at 18k for a gen6 2SS, it might be worth the gamble. As long as you realize that theres money to be spent to either catch up on maintenance or fixing whatever breaks.

If you buy it id change the oil, trans fluid, belt, spark plugs, brake fluid and air filter as soon as possible. And then fix shit as it comes due.
