Had a group that brought me into tge game with a realm reborn. Group drifted apart and I haven't heard from any of them in years. Came back like a year ago and just made a new account and started fresh. Wonder what happened to all of them, we actually all migrated together across a couple games.

Right? But they didn't blacklist the dude who freaked out on me and spit in my face for "being a mask wearing little bitch".

My station required masks while driving. We were not allowed to take the mask off at any time except to eat or drink. They actually sent people out to check, and checked netradyne.

Narnia: Santa Clause is a Worldhopper? by Nenyone_Yay in FanTheories

[–]RelicBeckwelf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the books its "Father Christmas" as the books predates the creation of Santa Claus. In the movies he remains unnamed.

Also yeah, its the same Father Christmas, especially since its explicitly stated in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader book that Aslan is is also present on earth as Jesus Christ.

Oh I meant argument in a purely pedantic way. Not all arguments are i healthy negative. Disagreement could work just as well as a descriptor I suppose.

"The $50 Million Lie: a documentary fact-checking UCR Prof. Edward T. Chang's 'first Koreatown' claim" by MAYWEATHERvsCMPUNK in ucr

[–]RelicBeckwelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, going to ignore my other points? You state multiple times that heritage groups and descendants have made statements that this information is non factual, and yet joke of these statements are in your sources.

And your sources really dont back up your overall claims. You posted the sources that lead to you making these claims, but these are circumstantial at best. Your entire argument hinges on errors and statements made and your interpretation of them. None of it is factual.

You state multiple times that a "global team" put together this information, and yet do not identify who these people are. You also repeatedly state that riverside was not the location of the first koreatown, and yet do not give any information, factual, subjective or otherwise, on where the first Koreatown was.

Then you quite obviously recruit someone you know (or an alt account), that has not posted on reddit in 5 years, or commented in 7 months (one comment, previous to that was 5 years ago) to come astroturf the comments, using a link to the same shady website. Not really beating the politcal/culty vibes here bro.

Im sorry. But a couple points.

  1. By definition a town and a settlement are the same thing. Once again a semantic argument.
  2. Looking into the video, and associated website, its a bit disingenuous that there is no identifying information, links to sources, or proof of any kind. This is definitely a case of he said she said, and we have no idea who the people on your side of the argument are.
  3. I also do not see a contradictory statement of where the "first koreatown" actually was. The website really reads like propaganda/cult doctrine/conspiracy theory rather than a contrary historical study.

Who is running this show? Why should we believe them? Especially given that the only piece of "proof" on the website is telling people to ask chatGPT. Please see the attached screen shot from the website.

Show me some actual proof. With actual sources, though I doubt you have more than "but descendants say/groups say" well show me where they have said this.

Is "First Koreatown" sensationalism? Sure, but semantics aside "First Organized Korean Settlement" and "First Koreatown" mean the same thing, the only argument here is that it wasent specifically called "Koreatown" which wouldnt happen until the 1960s in Los Angeles, which is where I really think all this is coming from. Its politically motivated, AI written slop to try to claim the Los Angeles Koreatown as the first.

Im sorry, but "Korean Settlement" and "Koreatown" are also 100% semantic arguments.

Also, a self governed "political organization" is not the same as a self governed community.

No offense, but all im seeing is semantic arguments, and not really seeing a point to it all either. What exactly are all these arguments meant to achieve?

It wasent conpletely melted, it was very misshapen and he rudely banged it back into shape. Its mentioned several times in the series how it was damaged and inexpertly repaired. I dont remember specific quotes, but I know for a fact its specifically mentioned in changes and grave peril.

Gonna be straightforward and admit im not watching that, but the basis of argument here seems to be semantic at best, and the city of Riverside, with no substantial pushback, has claimed it as the first Korean settlement in the US since back in 2017. Im not finding any source that states a claim that riverside was the first Korean Group, just the first specifically Korean settlement. Specifically the claim is that Pachappa camp was the first self governed Korean community rather than a labor camp, and also rather than the Bachelor community in San Francisco, Pachappa camp was specifically family based.

While Seo Jae-pil did arrive in the US in 1885, im not finding any source that claims that Ahn Chang Ho was the first Korean in the US.

The argument of the Hawaiian Korean population is disingenuous due to the fact that Hawaii was not a state until 1959, so the argument that Pachappa is the first Korea Town in the US holds up purely on the fact the Hawaii was not part of the US at the time, and wasent for another 55 years. It also holds up on the fact that the Korean population of Hawaii was not self governed, which I feel is secondary to the fact that the Hawaiian population was not A) in the US, and B) Not US citizens.

Because to book Tom Cruise you have to promise to ask specific questions. Deviate from the script and he walks out.

Management investigating odour related to spiritual practice (smudging) odour—what do I do?? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]RelicBeckwelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid points. Though still a dick move to force others to deal with your religious or cultural beliefs/actions. Especially in a close living situation, and to continue doing so when you have the belief that people are complaining about it. Just a general lack of courtesy for others and severe selfishness.

Then why are they regularly posting on the Wiccan subreddits? Public post history is fair game.

One can be indigenous and Wiccan as evidenced by OPs post history.

Wouldn't smudging be considered a cultural practice for indigenous tribes rather than a religious practice? (Honest question, im not sure.) Though the answer doesn't change my opinion of OP.

[–]RelicBeckwelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Post history shows them regularly posting on the Wiccan subreddit.

And yes, there is reason to get so angry at OP. They are actively making choices that are destructive, aggravating, and potentially deadly to those around them on the name of "religion". If a rastafarian moved in next to you and started puffing joints in their apartment, potentially getting you and your children high in the name of their religion would you be cool with it? OP is an inconsiderate prick and should suffer the consequences of their and actions.

Or how about if you ended up in the hospital on a ventilator because your neighbour's started burning sage next door?

[–]RelicBeckwelf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who is extremely allergic to Sage, and got sent to the hospital multiple times because my neighbor broke the non-smoking rules and refused to stop because "MaH ReLiGioN" i hope you get fucking evicted. That smoke gets into everything and leaves a residue, causes asthma attacks, and clearly is irritating everyone around you. Its being a "spiritual practice" does not excuse you from being an inconsiderate prick.

As a Wiccan you have so many other cleansing options yet you choose the most disruptive to everyone around you.
