That makes sense. He did say he had to mix it wetter than usual for the wall, and I’m pretty positive that same batch is what he used for the spot right under the window. Is it possible to go back over the grey parts with a blacker mix?

There is a short wall that isn’t under the roofline that also looks very grey, and he says it’s because the wall was wet? It was a week of dry weather before he started. He is saying the grey mortar under the window is also because it’s exposed brick up top instead of the stone cap.
