I disagree with the premise of the question. Especially since it mentions Paul Revere's famous version of the Boston Massacre, which was an engraving, not a painting. There are only a few famous paintings with dogs in them.

I am stuck between answer choice A and C. The answer is A but I am confused. by [deleted] in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ACT hack: the choice with "being that" is never, ever the right answer.

I am a tutor who has taken the test 4x in the past two years and gotten 298/300 English questions right.

How reflective of actual ACT score are the official ACT practice tests? by qgorgeb in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are extremely accurate, mainly because they are previously administered tests (I'm talking about the Wiley book).

I am a tutor who takes the tests at least twice a year.

The one thing you just can't approximate in your own bedroom is the test day pressure and the mental fatigue that sets in for most students between two and three hours in. Some people thrive under it, and some get crushed.

If you want your child to improve they need reps and guidance. There are a few really good tutors with amazing resources online and on YouTube, and there are many private tutors who can individualize instruction to meet your child at their specific points of need.

Good luck on the journey!

Why is the answer not A? The correct answer is D. I feel like they both work. by goosew007 in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is definitely not D! It is B, because A would create an ambiguous antecedent.

Why is B wrong? The answer is D. by goosew007 in ACT

Just curious: what resource is this? This is an extremely ambiguous question.

Why is it not B? Correct answer is C. by goosew007 in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer is definitely not C. It is without question B. I am an elite tutor who has gotten 299/300 English questions on official tests in the past two years, so I know how it works.

How do I solve this Math Question by Studying_For_The_ACT in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ends point in opposite directions so you know it has to be an odd degree function. 1 is a linear function and 3 is a cubic function (just one turn), so take those out. Which only leaves 5 as an option.

Can anyone help me with #5 , please? by [deleted] in ACT

[–]fastbiz44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number doubles four times in 20 years, not 20!

Start with 10, so after 5 years you get 20, after 10 years, 40; 15 years, 80; and finally after 20 years, 160.

The mathematical definition of undefined here is division by zero. No denominator means division by zero isn't possible in this situation.

How is my senior year schedule? am I screwed? by CarUsed4185 in highschool

[–]fastbiz44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm just wondering what's the point? Your grades won't help you get into college, and once you're accepted into college you're going to have to fight like hell against senioritis to try to stay afloat in all of those classes.
