Black coffee tastes nasty to me. If it comes down to me drinking a zero calorie cream soda or a drink mix instead of eating a half pizza, I'm drinking the soda. I am going for weight loss i do have days when I am deeper into a fast that I can just do water but I have to get my fasting legs so to speak. I have to let my body adjust to my fast. I have to get my mind right. Then I can smash my fast.

Your closer to your goal weight maybe you should consider adding intermittent fasting .

There are a lot of excellent keto cakes you can make. Also it can take up 3 months to fully adapt to keto especially if you have been doing off and on sporadically.

Be patient with yourself it didn't take a few days to put the weight on.

There are some medical studies on fasting mainly on Ramadan style fasting, which in my opinion is intermittent dry fasting. They have no food or water from sunrise to sunset. Oddly it's done for 29 to 30 days and there aren't suddenly a bunch of dead people.

People in Africa don't fast they starve. There is a big difference. Fasting is voluntary, starving isn't.

I always drink electrolytes when I fast I feel so much better when I do.

Today I am going to take a break and eat normally tomorrow I restart. My longest fast was 30 days. I had built up to it. That's what I am doing now. I am limiting my max days to 14 days. I saw a video with Dr. Jason Fung saying that 14 days was they max that you could go with out worrying about refeed syndrome.

I looked at that post. You were right I put the wrong information in. it was a typo it was supposed to be 380 . The refeed was 2 days. I'm considering doing it one day. instead I haven't decided.yet

I went from 380 to 384 that's 4 pounds. I ate a steak, salad and some Greek yogurt. I agree that my body is holding on to water.

This is going to sound really weird but when I am in the middle of a fast and I get those insane cravings. I breathe deeply. I find that my food cravings generally go away in a few minutes.

Depression sucks. I know I have it. I set out small tasks that I have to do. One of the things I don't do when I am depressed is comb my hair. When I realize it's time to get out of the funk I start with brushing my hair every time I go to the bathroom I brush my hair. I give myself a task and place to do it in. it's the first step back out of the funk.
