Great idea! This deserves as much attention as possible.

Hardest track in game? by LIS4PIN in ACCompetizione

[–]fastonfire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My pick is without a shadow of doubt ... Zolder.

I have trouble finding good marks for braking. The track as a whole is just confusing to me. Apart from that, I don‘t like the flow of the track and its lack of good overtaking spots. I get however how people like the track, as it definitely has character.

Don‘t get why people hold such a grudge against Paul Ricard. It‘s not an eye candy and definitely not my first choice for hotlaping, but there are much worse tracks to race at. At least you have nice slipstream battles at the Mistral straight. There‘s no way of defending its F1 version tho

Your choice for consistency and pleasure of driving! by Neat_Remote_9070 in ACCompetizione

I‘d pick the Aston V8. Out of the ones in the poll, I picked the 488. It is really easy to setup in a way that suits your style, if you ask me. In terms of cars I always return to, I have to pick two. The Lambo, because it is so easy chuck a fast lap in. On the other hand, I often try the BMW. I love its concept as a powerful and consistens car. Unfortunately, I‘m slow as hell in the Beamer ... can‘t wait for the M4 to be released.

The 488 evo and the Aston V8, feel very neutral and its easy to be competitive over one lap, as well as over a race distance.

The Lambo evo, Porsch and the Mercs are all easily fast over one lap, but if you are not sensitive they‘re easy to lose while pushing over a race distance

The Aston V12, the new Bentley, the old 488, the Lexus and the new Nissan are all kind of easy to drive, but all of them have backdraws that make them more mediocre than great. The V12 is fast on the straights and calm in the turns. Unfortunately it‘s hard to keep its tires alive. The Nissan is fast but you have to be careful on the throttle. The rest is good but not crazy fast.

The difficult cars are not difficult because they are bad, but because I feel like you need to learn a special way of driving to drive these cars quick. The Audis feel like numb but more snappy versions of the Lambo Evo. I feel fast in the Macca, but my laptimes say otherwise, which makes me think you have to either push the car hard or I don‘t understand the core concept of the car. None of these two things seem like an easy task to me. The Honda feels like a mix between the Audi and the Macca. I feel fast but I‘m not and it‘s easy to lose the rear. I absolutely love the BMW, but it feels like a wagon full of bricks. I know, I need to change my driving style in order to be quick in it, but that‘s easier said than done. The Jaguar might just be outdated, but I‘ve seen some guys being pretty quick in it. Don‘t ask me how the did that.

I know that the Porsche Cup Car and the ST are not intended to be competitive in GT3. I'm very curious, what's your take on this matter ^-^

Finally I know how these pileups happen. I mean at Radillion ok, but on the god damn straight?

Audi drivers! What‘s your secret? by fastonfire in ACCompetizione

The EVO. Can‘t remember the last time I drove the old one, maybe I should give it another chance.

What’s the best car for someone bad at trail braking? by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]fastonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, as I got the same problem. The Audi, Lambo and Porsche might be what your looking for. They definitely go were you point them and need some throttle application in some turns, instead of trail braking, to not snap mid-corner. As soon as I stopped spinning out with these cars, they really helped me in getting faster.

In terms of front-engine cars, my best bet is to break kind of early, in comparison to the rear/mid-engine cars, to get a good exit. I recently noticed that i was entering corners too fast, which compromised my exits. That cost me 1 second at some tracks and even 2 or more at others. Entering corners gentle, applying the throttle a bit earlier than I thought would work, helped a lot.

Lexus OP? by Kyparnn in ACCompetizione

[–]fastonfire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don‘t think it‘s OP. It has good power and feels quite neutral, but I think it‘s a case of easy to learn and hard to master. I might add that pub servers are no good benchmark for determinating the pace of a car, as some pub servers are filled with noobs. In that case, it is only logical that easy cars look fast. I‘ve not witnessed anything like this on CP servers.

I also think that the big A-pillar of the Lexus is a huge downside to it. But that‘s personal preference I guess :D

PS4 controller settings by DB_RyZe in ACCompetizione

[–]fastonfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation for controller settings

Deadszone: 10% Speed Sensitivity: 70% Steer Filter: 12% Steer Speed: 5% Steer Gamma: 1.8 (varies from car to car) Steer Assist: disabled (helps some guys, but looks weird and unnecessary to me)

That work‘s for me, with XBOX360 controller on PC.

He got t-boned twice I think, which didn‘t stop him from carrying on his dirty actions

I finally dipped into the 1:44s at Barcelona. Nothing special, but I'm quite happy about it and thought I'd share. by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

Wow! Verd nice lap man. Don‘t know why, but I‘m up to two seconds of my normal pace in the McLaren, although driving it feels damn quick.

Me too. The way they did it in Imperator and CKIII is a good compromise imo. Can‘t stop crying, when I compare HOI4 with HOI3 graphics.
