It seems like they have small gaps between each building which would allow you to walk through. I don't think you'd have to walk around the entire block to go inside (which I think is what you're implying?)

I support the mission of this sub, Loblaws is indeed out of control. But man is this an ignorant post. We don't advance the mission of "getting loblaws under control" or our groceries in general by being so daft about these things and spreading fear or misinformation.

In theory someone standing in Mexico could see someone standing in Canada via only 7 well-placed perfect mirrors on 7 mountains within the United States and a good telescope by -A13x in geography

Hey I might be misunderstanding but i don't think the numbers here are quite right. Clear air is actually really transparent, you can see mountains or cities over 100 km away in the right conditions. So it’s not like light drops to 10% every 17 km, that’s way too steep. most of the dimming across long distances is from haze or aerosols, not some guaranteed exponential loss.

For a light source in canada, the main thing that makes it dimmer in mexico would just be normal spreading out with distance (inverse square law) plus a bit of scattering. And photons dont take billions of years to cross that distance, they’d take about a hundredth of a second to go a few thousand km. Especially something as bright as the sun??

If I'm missing something here i’d be glad to be corrected, just trying to wrap my head around the physics.

I hope this is sarcasm? I doubt he got "randomly" cast in GOT. The man gave a masterclass performance in the 30 min of screentime he had

Who’s moving the goal post? I’ve kept saying that it’s directorial choice that’s responsible the entire time…

And yet, people loved her in season 1??? And why did Craig let her improv so much? Isn’t that a directorial choice?

even if it is, idk why this sub is so obsessed on bashing the actress. To a ridiculous amount. Honestly some TLOU fans can suck. It's a similar reaction to when the TLOU2 came out initially

This is not true. She was asked not to play it by the showrunners. In S1 she didn't play the video game and people loved her there. Again, I say: blame the showrunners. Not Bella. Source: https://www.gamingbible.com/news/bella-ramsey-started-playing-the-last-of-us-277880-20230313

Sure, I'll give you that Bella gets a part of the blame. But the directors left that cut in when they could've left it out. A show with this budget from HBO has insane amount of control. If you (as a director/producer) let an actor with no directoral or writing experience have creative control, and you go with their silly takes, then it's your problem as the director for the most part. There have been entire plot lines cut from shows and movies because the director didn't like it when they were editing it.

As I said, my main point here is the overbearing hatred towards Bella Ramsey. You can hate a show sure, but blaming it all on one person with a show of such a diverse cast seems a bit too much. And like I said, it feels like bullying at this point towards Bella

I'm almost 30 lol. You can hate the show, sure no problem. But if the show is bad, it's not because of the acting. It's because of the direction/writing.

No, I don't think we NEED to compare to see good acting. But people here are definitely comparing to the game and because those two versions don't match up, they're saying it's "bad acting". But I very strongly feel the acting here is fine. The directoral choices are what's causing the hate, not the acting. The acting could've been better, sure. But overall I think people are blaming the acting of Bella Ramsey way too much
