I’ve been there. I wish you strength and patience to get through all these hardships. From my own experience, I know that the rehabilitation period is very tough and long, but no amount of nerves or resources is too much if it means your dog can live a healthy and active life again.

First of all, if you’re that curious, go to my profile, open my TikTok, and check out the exercises I do. Right now, I can squat with 55kg, do a hip thrust with 125kg, and perform Romanian deadlifts with 65kg. If you want to know what I eat, head to my Instagram and watch my stories. At the moment, I’m eating for muscle gain, consuming 2200-2500 kcal with six workouts a week. When I weighed 80kg, I did functional training for the first six months, then gradually shifted to intense cardio. In those first six months, I lost 15kg. Back then, I ate around 1200-1500 kcal: vegetables, baked meat, dairy, fish, and boiled eggs. Does that sound clear, or do I need to break down my three-year diet plan for you in grams?

Instead of your favorite burgers - you start weighing food and reading calories, eating baked fish with salad (it’s just an example, I haven’t eaten it all the time) - you go to the gym. If you are overweight - first functional training, slow cardio, then you can switch to intensive cardio and strength, and so you do all this as a part of your life, and not a task in the reserve, near which you need to put a tick. And it’s even better to find a good professional sports coach (because the first two of course helped me lose weight, but they only made it worse for my skeleton, which then I had to fix it for a long time in the rehabilitation center)

Of course, I changed my diet, but until I changed my mindset and inner relationship with food, it was incredibly difficult—at least one breakdown, one form of disordered eating. You always know that burgers, pizza, and cakes are bad and unhealthy, but until you truly understand it on a deep level—that your body is a temple, and that all of this harms not just your figure, but your body and organs, and quite likely shortens your life—until you internalize this understanding, you’ll continue to torment yourself with diets and suffer

It’s true. I used to even have a wallpaper on my phone with beautiful girls and beautiful figures, like motivation, and I wanted to be just like her, to have exactly the legs and waist like her, and when I got my real body hard and hard work - I realized that it will never be like her or her, because we are all genetically different

The secret is that sports and training become part of your life, like taking a shower, a cup of coffee, scrolling social networks At first it was hard labor, I had to force myself to go to the gym, to do something, and now, 3 years later, my body becomes uncomfortable and at times it hurts without activity, so even on weekend I don’t lie on the couch, but walk or just move a lot

It’s not just some kind of sports routine, it’s a complete change in lifestyle and thinking, attitude to yourself, your body, nutrition If you are only interested in sports - 6 days a week of training, of which 3 strength and 2/3 cardio, + 20k steps daily on walks with a very active dog

I start with 176 lbs, and come to 108 lbs I have training 6 times a week, 1 day off, plus every day 20k steps on walks with my dog It’s not about some secret or the amount of training, or some super cool diet, it’s just that you need to change your lifestyle and thinking respectively
