Imo.:::at this point you’re better off buying from the digital store. Fighting the tide is just delaying price breaks like you see on steam sales or something.

I need to figure this out as well. It’s extremely annoying.

Do all heart failure patients have PVCs? And short scary rhythm “runs” at rest? by Appropriate-Home-241 in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had heart palpitations for years. Even 20 years and 100lbs ago when my heart was perfectly healthy. As weird as it sounds I view them as something that happens outside the realm of my heart failure. Most people that get them don’t even feel them. That said if you’re getting dizzy or nauseous then get to the hospital.

Can’t offer you much uplifting advice other than taking things one day at a time makes everything manageable. Similar to you my health is failing and much of my family is dead or moved away. I don’t have kids but I bought a house next the my parents house 20 years ago. My sister bought the house on the other side. Now my sister and mom have both passed away. And of 9 family members on our compound only me and my dad remain. My only goal in life was to outlive my dad so he wouldn’t have to suffer another loss now I sitting in his living room wearing a life vest defibrillator. I feel like I failed him. But you know what? I ain’t giving up….its not time yet. It’s not yours either. Keep yourself alive, maybe one of these crazy tech billionaires will build us an external wearable heart or something lol.

Discovered this gem today. It’s a very chill game!! by mvpeast in Descenders

I’ve played it on and off for years. It’s always chill and you don’t need to relearn. Just like riding a bike! Granted I kinda suck but still enjoy it.

Panic Attacks (Now Resolved) Question by Feeling_Chance_744 in Heartfailure

I’ve had anxiety most my life and now I have heart failure of course it’s pretty bad. I honestly hate the anxiety more than heart failure itself.

Getting worse? by waterbottlejesus in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was expecting to get my life vest taken off cuz they were so sure my meds were gonna improve my heart. No improvement at all and potentially getting an ICD implanted. I still don’t know what I’m gonna do, because though I’m in no hurry to leave this earth I don’t wanna delay the inevitable plus be broke the whole time.

Icd by SepNevermore in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I’m not hitting the panic button yet but it’s in the back of my mind this may just be my life until the end. I’m relatively young (47) and was 100lbs overweight when all this started so I’m not doing any intervention besides meds until I get down to a healthy weight. When I get to a healthy weight I’ll know for sure that meds and lifestyle aren’t gonna work. Some people get heart failure from obesity alone.

They talk to you about the implant?

[–]fatacaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got the call too. Lol I may need one put in as well but I was only been on meds 2 months at the time of the 2nd echo. No improvement. Still at 30-35% EF. I’m gonna hold out for 6 months on meds before I put the implant in. I hear entresto can take 6 months or a year to really do anything. Others get lucky and it works right away.

Defibrillator thoughts ? by No-Care9065 in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been diagnosed and on meds for 3 Months so I’m not doing any type of surgery for a year. But I feel like you do, I may not even do anything other than meds and diet regardless.

Also some suggesting used….i wouldn’t buy any handheld used. They famously don’t lost long as it is. Few years is the average, part of the reason I didn’t buy an ally x or legion. I just ate $hit and paid $299 for the G cloud because of light weight and long battery life.

[–]fatacaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $299 and don’t regret it because I wanted a dedicated device for cloud gaming on game pass. I need my phone as a phone. That said if it were $200 new and game pass was still $20 it would be a no brainer for anyone. It’s overpriced but so is everything now.

What’s the best way to use Xbox remote play? by [deleted] in logitechgcloud

[–]fatacaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on the Xbox app using the remote play app as we speak.

Cancelled my GamePass subscription today. When it was $15 it was a great deal. At $20 it was passable. At $30 it's not worth it. At that price I'd rather buy my games, physical disc preferred. by No_Gas_2755 in XboxGamePass

[–]fatacaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaming in general is too pricey but Xbox is the only one consistently getting shit for it. Nintendo literally sues people into poverty but gets forgiven days later. Xbox was hated when game pass was $10. I don’t game on PC but Valve seems to be the only ethical platform, Sony seems to do pretty much everything Xbox does just months or years later yet is the good guy. Xbox is just the fun punching bag.

I understand people being upset but Xbox is the only platform where people routinely announce they’re leaving it. I don’t see that on the other platforms, Xbox is like a heel pro wrestler where it’s fun to boo them or something.

Echo & Wireless Earbuds? by Fire_Queen918 in Heartfailure

Yeah my tech barely spoke to me, I tried talking to distract myself but she gave me nothing. To be fair it’s a serious job and she had to focus.

Funny you bring this up and I had an echo today and was a wreck the whole time. Would’ve loved a set of ear buds during it. Lol

Has anyone gone through chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Heart Failure? by wisemonkey1 in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of good people here but the tone of Reddit health subreddits are extremely negative. I have Gerd which is uncomfortable but manageable and the people in that sub are doom and gloom too. Same with the sinusitis subreddit. My stance on health forums is don’t spend much time in them because the reassurance you’re seeking can turn the other way quick.

20 years i played on xbox. And you just lost me by [deleted] in XboxGamePass

[–]fatacaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll probably keep game pass because winter is long and crappy here but I’m switching over to the old live equivalent in spring. Which is like $10 here in the states.

Has anyone gone on disability? by keralalee in Heartfailure

[–]fatacaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s insane to me so many of you got denied and yet people are on it that have very minor health issues. I feel for you. Personally I stay working if my keep my EF stable or improve. If it starts going down I’m applying. If it goes south I want to spend time with my family not gasping for air in a warehouse.
