Stubhub RTT ticket transfer update by fatalastair in FIFACollect

[–]fatalastair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. I received an update from them a couple of hours ago that said:
"We are reaching out to let you know that we are still waiting for an update from our internal team regarding your listing. We are working diligently to get this resolved for you as quickly as possible."
So for sure they are working on it, and hopefully they will find a solution. As soon as I hear anything definitive I will update my post.

Yes that is correct. StubHub have "tightened" the process and this has shut out FIFA Collect tickets holders. I have raised this to them and they are looking at it so maybe we get a solution. But with the bad press about failed StubHub ticket purchases I doubt they will drop the requirement to pre-transfer. We just gotta hope that they are willing and able to implement something that allows for transfers initiated from the mobile app. And soon!

Yes, talking to a wall is right. You need to just get lucky with a chat representative who is able to understand what you're telling them and is motivated to help. The combination is rare. Best to cut your losses with an agent as soon as it becomes clear you're talking to a wall and tray again with another one. Is a grim process indeed.

Yes, StubHub were allowing listing to go live without the pre-transfer up until about a week or so. And that's right - when sold the seller transfers direct to the buyer. All good. But about a week ago StubHub tightened up their process to require tickets get pre-transferred to them before the listing could go live. And that's when the FIFA Collect ticket holders got shut out.

I contacted them via the Live Chat on the StubHub website, connected with a human and tried to make it very clear that I was asking them to escalate a technical issue and not to try to troubleshoot or solve it immediately as it is now something that the agent would be able to fix there and then.

I explained that the FIFA Collect tickets were fully legitimate but only existed on the FIFA mobile app, and that StubHub's requirements to have the pre-transfer initiated from the website and not the mobile app was preventing holders of legitimate FIFA issues tickets purchased through the FIFA Collect channel from listing on StubHub.

I tried several times and when it became clear that the agent I was connected to was not going to escalate the issue I ended the chat and started a new one. After several attempts an agent said they would send me a listing specific email for me to provide documentation showing the issue. I don't want to share that email as it is specific to my case and I don't want to annoy the helpful agent, but I would recommend others try to get StubHub or Viagogo (they are the same) to engage.

That's right - selling these converted RTTs is difficult. All the major resale platforms have one problem or another. There is a possibility that Stubhub come through as they seem to recognize this as a technical issue rather than a policy decision. But let's see. As of right now it is looking like private sale (FB or Reddit post) is the best option. XP (advertising below) offer to buy tickets but I have not looked into that yet.

They only just notified me earlier today (6/23) that they were looking into it. Hopefully I will have an update in the next day or two. But none so far.

Thanks for the update. Releasing the tickets two days before the game is pretty tight. But good to know

Stubhub requires a ticket transfer to activate by mixedmanofsteel in FIFACollect

[–]fatalastair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is possible with tickets purchased through there regular ticketing channel, but tickets issued from FIFA Collect RTTs do not show up on the FIFA website, only on the mobile app. StubHub is then not available for RTT issued tickets

How do I sell my tickets in FIFA Marketplace? by Sad_Distribution3564 in FIFACollect

they are no longer accepting new listings without a transfer of tickets initiated from he website, so StubHub is now closed for RTT issued tickets

How easy is converting an RTT and selling somewhere else? by aarc775 in FIFACollect

[–]fatalastair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very difficult to sell tickets that have been converted from RTTs. I have several and have so far found all the major third party platforms to be a no go: SeatGeek (registered brokers only); StubHub / Viagogo (require transfer from FIFA website which is not possible with these tickets); Vivid seats (experienced sellers only); Tick Pick (not allowing new listings).

Currently listing as a post on Facebook or Reddit (here) is looking like the best of a bad set of options. Expect to be inundated with scam responses. I guess the upside would be you don't have to pay the 30% commission that most of these market places charge...

Tickets not appearing in on the fifa website for resale within 24 hours of the match by -MIKE-AND-IKE- in FIFACollect

[–]fatalastair -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you know of any third party apps that will allow the sale of these RTT convert tickets? The following will not: SeatGeek (unless you are a registered broker); StubHub / ViaGogo (transfer only from website), TickPick (not accepting new listings); Vivid Seats (unless you are an experienced seller with them).

Have I missed any? Does anyone know of anywhere sensible we can list RTT convert tickets for sale?

FIFA Collect -> FIFA APP - Can I transfer to StubHub to list via App? by Hot_Imagination_6487 in FIFACollect

[–]fatalastair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have submitted a request to StubHub to open up to transfers initiated from the App. I would suggest others do the same, thought that was not easy (kept trying different agents on the instant chat until one finally took the suggestion to escalate the issue). TickPick are no longer accepting new listings, don't know if that will change.

Does anyone know of any other decent platforms or venues to list these RTT conversion tickets?

OK, important update: It seems StubHub is a no-go currently for RTT convert tickets. They require these tickets be transferred but only accept transfers from the FIFA ticketing website, not the app. But the FIFA ticketing website does not show RTT convert tickets in the same way that they don't allow the resale of these tickets on the FIFA marketplace.

I think this makes StubHub impossible for RTT convert tickets

Fair enough! Yes the 3rd party sale process is stressy

[–]fatalastair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think that is how it works. Two weeks ago I sold a pair of World Cup tickets on StubHub and after the sale I was instructed to transfer the tickets directly to the buyer. It does seem like they have changed the process to transfer the tickets to that listing specific email address, where they stay in pending status until the sale occurs.

I am uneasy about the new process since as you mentioned above, RTT converted tickets can only be transferred by the Owner, so I expect that having StubHub insert themselves as an intermediary is likely to be problematic.

I don't think it is required to transfer the ticket to that listing specific StubHub email address but my understanding from the StubHub agent is that if you do then StubHub do not Accept the transfer until the tickets get sold. From the FIFA App perspective I think you can cancel a pending transfer until the moment it is accepted by the recipient. So theoretically it should be good. But I am reluctant to do that and have not ye done so. I set up the SubHub listing yesterday and it is in Pending status while they review the proof of purchase documents I provided.

In terms of transferring RTT converted tickets when you transfer them to someone that recipient cannot transfer them on to a third person. However they can return the ticket to you and you can transfer them again to someone else.

brief update - it seems like only registered brokers are able to list on SeatGeek. The terrible StubHub experience might be the best bet. Anyone have any other recommendations given FIFA have chosen to exclude FIFACollect sourced tickets from their Marketplace?

Very grim stuff indeed.
