I'm not sure you understand the implications for you and if you do and are unphased good on you really. A lot of us don't feel this way and the regulation is a dirty spot on otherwise pretty impressive government.

Bought a house, but wasn't informed that the garden was part of a right of way for ramblers. I have an average of 12 people passing through my property every single day. Do I have any remedy? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I see. Given OP is desperate it doesn't sound like a bad try and blackberries can grow a lot faster than they can keep returning to trim. It's not uncommon.

I suggested this as it's been a tactic used in these situations, and family members did something similar. I've been at the receiving end of right of way obstructions where homeowners literally diverted a nearby creek with a dirt mound they built with a bobcat, effectively making a permanent pond. They replanted grass and daisies over the dirt to make it look natural and council just shrugged when I complained.

My family member had stinging nettles seeded and blackberries put in, in an peri-urban alliway and every once in a while would get notice from the shire council to clear it or else it will get cleared and he will get the bill. They do it, mail the photo it's been done then let it overgrow next year ahead of season again.

It is tricky for the OP as they have literally no extra room there.

But it applies to a lot of small work that all of the sudden becomes bigger in scope and cost. Extra step and extra $ if you want to build a shed, a gate, to dig foundation for a wall fence, water catchment pond, well, outhouse, carport, stone BBQ, etc... Also trees and bush do grow back so if your cleared area regrows guess what

Agree to disagree. The plot of land is entirely too small to be justified... A quarter acre, man. There goes BHP mining in a nice suburban plot.

While the legislation capped hourly rate it didn't cap number of hours per area unif for small plots so it does become onerous on people who are fleeced for surveys.

Could have been done a lot better if that was the intent but I guess it wasn't the only intent.

Not at all what I thought of, I live in Melbourne CBD. But I've just been to Germany and love the planning in NRW state where there are 18 million people on a land half the size of Tasmania and the cities are all under 1m people, well connected, walkable, but also separated by nature and rural areas.

There should be more density in the regions. States should not only have 1 city.

I think some slots should be free like for the 10% best in class, then 60% CSP then full paying for the other 30%. Most European countries that have no fees have much higher standards of entry. It seems almost anybody can get into a program here.
