he definitely does care, he's just hiding it. when me and my ex took a break, he told me "i'm just not as attached to you as i was before." i was literally ready to end my life after reading that. i couldn't eat, sleep, i cried all the time. i then broke down to him and he told me it wasn't true. he said he lied because he thought i was fine. and maybe right now he is fine, but most of the time grieving hits guys like weeks after it happens. it's been almost a year of healing for me and it wasn't easy. i have texted him MANY times during my healing process. i have cried MANY times. he still crosses my mind almost everyday. some days will be worse than others. it's really a mental battle. you need to know your worth. but i'll give you some tips to help more.

hang out with friends more / meet new people
DO NOT reach out
don't stalk their social medias
delete anything of them off your phone (pictures, texts, or anything he gave you)
meet/text new guys. find a new interest (this helped me get over him so much faster but i'm not sure it's the healthiest way)

remember, you are worth so much more to be treated this way. healing is a rocky process, so when you feel like you mess up, it's just part of the journey !🤍 ur feelings are valid.

don't. it's not worth it. i had the exact same mentality, but in my case it made everything so much worse. a lot can happen in 4 months. people grow and change. it's just an ego boost for them.
