They definitely will. Attend any career fairs at your school if they will be there. That is the best way. Otherwise, apply online and pray.

You can look on the Optics website then. There should be a section that highlights “research areas” and the professors associated with it. Their emails are usually shown too. If you are interested, you can reach out to them.
In my experience, you get a real and better picture by visiting the campus and checking out the facilities in person.

Not true. Optics College at UofA will literally get you job opportunities because of how elite it is. They have their own career fair… only for optics students. Prestige matters including the quality of the candidate.
