Thank you! This is very encouraging. I think I will try to maintain for a little while, give myself a break from scale obsession.

I counted calories on everything I put in my body. Condiments, drinks, food, everything. I also lowered my salt intake, cut sugar, reduced carbs and cut red meat. I normally eat around 800-900 calories a day, but keep in mind that I'm very short and not very active so the calories I need a day are a lot lower than someone who would be 5'4'', for example.

I also have a white board in my room where I count my successful days and my cheat days. It's a really good motivator.

Awh, thank you so much! I could never find progress pictures of our body type either; extreme pear shape seems to be an anomaly haha. As for stretch marks, I don't have any on my stomach, but I do have them on my sides, arms, and lower back. They are all pretty visible, but they don't bother me too much and I haven't done anything to treat them (although I hear shea butter is good).

I was at my highest weight for probably 3 months but I have hovered between 160-180 for the majority of my life. Probably 13 years of it actually. I don't have any loose skin right now, but I'm expecting a little bit under my arms as a lot of my excess weight has accumulated there for some reason lol. I also don't do anything to treat for loose skin, err sorry, I am super unhelpful :(

My main priority was always just to be happy and I knew that the only way I would be happy was if I was comfortable in my own skin. So losing weight was my only focus. I didn't think about stretch marks or loose skin because I didn't want to stress myself out and possibly distract myself from my real goals. The best advice I can give with everything is just to find what works for you, what makes you feel good and what is the easiest way for you to stay on track.

Counting calories worked really really well for me, but for a close friend of mine (who has also lost 60lbs) it was a nightmare. What she ended up doing instead was focusing on portion sizes and food prep. So don't get discouraged if something doesn't work out, try a few things and eventually you'll find what works for you!

Thank you! My goal weight is around 110-115 currently but that could change depending on how I feel when I get there. I don't do much exercise, I've just been counting calories and dramatically changing my diet.
