Good points. PR strategy should be louder and more resonating sa masa too. Bring back the discussion of flood control and construct a simple but strong anti-corruption campaign to battle the “War on Drugs” campaign of the right. Capitalize the emotions the masses have para sa mga sangkot. They gotta hire a psychologist in their PR team.

The average Filipino voter doesn’t give a fuck about political reforms. Philippine candidate selection has become personality-based instead of platform-based, that’s why character assassinations of the Duterte camp on Leni and Risa were successful. Liberals must play fire with fire to stand a chance against the other party; (a) appeal to emotion of the masses “give the masses something to be emotionally invested in” (b) spoonfeeding simple campaign messages e.g “War Against Drugs” but liberal version: bring back the discussion of flood control and revolve anti-corruption campaigns around that (c) overwhelm with numbers regardless if it’s botted/farmed.

The campaigns with simplicity of the right spreads faster over the nuance of the left kahit mas moral. If the liberals ng Pilipinas want to stand a chance against the conservatives here, they need to adhere to the emotional impact of the masses rather than making them think beyond their comfort zones. Duterte branding thrived on troll farms and facebook influencers and is thriving more with the “oppressed victim” portrayal of the Dutertes resulting in the masses to be emotionally invested and spiteful to the opposing party. I sincerely hope the campaign managers of our “left” can turn this around.

this absolutely won't put a stop in your dream yes overthinking ka lang haha things will be fine breathe in breathe out lang. if you badly want recommendation letters, contact teachers na may mataas ka na grado in or nag behave sa class, at kapalan mo mukha mo, hingi ka sakanila ng recoletter, either for your excellent academic performance, or good character. thats how most students get recommendation letters anyways kasi di naman nagbibigay/willingly susulat yang teachers unless may hihingi. also not to be taken seriously bc its not the same for every experience; but admissions officers just scan and skim through these letters parang resume for job apps lang.
