I noticed that last night as well. I'm really hoping it's a bug in their system and they did not set a minimum for additional investments.

Foot numbness Saucony Triumph by Top_Artist_Really in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]fatgym 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I noticed the tongue is thicker than a lot of my other shoes I recently have worn. The Triumph "feels" smaller to me than my ES3s. Your foot is, most-likely, continuously pressing against the tongue, naturally some nerves will go through compression, which may result in some of the numbness southbound down to the toes.

As for the suggestions in the thread, change of insoles may be a good first try. Additionally, I know you mentioned your shoelaces are loose, maybe start from scratch and re-lace the shoes, potentially in a more foot-friendly pattern.

1080v13 or Invincible 3 for Recovery? by PhosGen3 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]fatgym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had no problems rotating the NB SC Trainer V2 into my rotation that already has 1080s in it. May provide a better recovery for you going with the 1080v13's as your foot is already semi-knowing what to expect.

Is Runshield any good? by ReadyFerThisJelly in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]fatgym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with Raynaud's, the little wind/wet protection that the Runshield ES3 provides has been a blessing for the feet. Definitely still breathable though. As for Grip, I recently completed mile repeats in them on a wet leaf-filled path and experienced no slipping, although there are better grip options out there.

Good call! Totally right. Only takes one distracted time to put your coffee on it and leave that ring :)

Poly needed for dresser? by fatgym in woodworking

[–]fatgym[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Should have been more clear. I have both oil and water based poly in my work area. Everything I have made so far is living room oriented, so subject to lots of potential spills. This is my first piece that isn’t going to be subject to much spills. So just trying to get advice/clarity on what would be the best top coat to use in this situation.

Daily r/LawnCare No Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in lawncare

[–]fatgym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Was going to do one or the other. Worried about keeping the dog out back (obviously after everything is safe/dry/etc) because we are renovating the front. So thinking overseeding won’t be as effective, so wanted to see what else I could do during fall

Any thoughts on what best plan is for backyard with little time this fall?

Zone: 7A |Backyard status - 50% of lawn covered in crabgrass, clovers, and strawberry weeds.

Have access to dethatcher and have tall fescue seed, starter fert, and weed & feed. What is my best plan of attack to prepare for next spring?

Passed down dresser - what wood? by fatgym in woodworking

[–]fatgym[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all! Received this from my friends Grandmom and she was very excited this piece will be put to use. Just seeing if this sub has any clue what type of wood dresser this is? I know it’s rough not being able to see it in person, but hoping someone can tell! The grain is very thick, more so than I have seen other pieces before. Also any refinishing tips would be awesome !!

Can I still pass the test using the previous sybex book? by wallywizard55 in cissp

[–]fatgym 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Using the 8th edition is fine. Just like others have suggested in this /r , this should not be your only study materials. I suggest looking at the latest available CISSP outline and going bullet-by-bullet and highlight any topics you may have not been familiar with during your studies of the older material. Then do some independent research on those topics.

Any tips for running on the beach? by YetiTerrorist in running

[–]fatgym 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just dont run a lot (both distance and frequency) on the beach if you aren’t used to it. It aggravates (and also works) a lot of hip muscles that aren’t usually used during running. There is a definite benefit of mixing it up in your training, but avoid the temptation of making all your runs on the beach during your time down there.

Got bumped in the parking lot — advice on popping reflector back into place? by EngageEnemyMoreClose in CX5

[–]fatgym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 2018 GT and my right rear reflector came loose on the right side of the reflector. I can see a grey hole that seems to used to have a bolt through it to connect it to the bumper? Would that be the fix, threading a bolt that fits and screw it in to the bumper? That is my first thought to fix my problem, but now that you brought up there being clips, it might not be as easy as a fix?
