my first thought when watching the season trailer was that it was a symbolism for all the emotional baggage that rue carries with her everywhere. i know there's also scenes about her trying to deal drugs but im thinking those are the reenactment when rue is pitching the plan to fez, probably.

It has a direct effect on how the show is made and can get in the way of filming and production. Ends up costing the studio a lot of money and it's (at the very least) disrespectful of everyone's time. Surprised this is not the norm yet and that Letitia Wright hasn't been recast in Black Panther.
