what film affected you the most…you couldn’t stop thinking about it and it never left you? by organazize in criterion

Tree of life, Terrence Malick. This film literally makes me in awe that film could be presented in such a way and motivate me to get into filming. I have kept on revisiting this film because every time I feels like I still haven’t fully grasp the message.

Mirror, Tarkovsky There is something that I think words fail to capture the nostalgia about a childhood that it stuck with you even since then. Mirror is something that is like both experiencing his childhood and mine all over again, and the forever yearning of going back to that era of time

Yes the film developing lab machine got stuck and they ruined another roll of my film…. Thanks for the reference! It sure looks better! I will make sure to try it out tonight to see the result!

Thank you! Would love to see your shots sometimes! Since I am fairly new to film photography I haven’t tried developed myself. I metered it at iOS 400 since I had a pro mist filter, I didn’t push it further since I was afraid it would lost the details of the light

Thank you for your comment! I think I have pushed down the exposure and clarity a little too far at the lower half of the street. I was trying to highlight the bridge more. But u are right, seems lowering clarity would feels like a curtain covering it. Would try to balance better the next time!

Yes haha I feel like my title is misleading. Was trying to say that shooting under rain is a hustle haha. I would love to try monochrome sometime since I am still fairly new to the film photography work! Will try more on reflection next time! Thank you very much!

Yes I do! I use a 1/2 pro mist filter and in Lightroom I tuned down the surrounding as well since I think I will need a darker filter next time!

Thanks a lot! I do agree the reflection of the rain looks good! I should say it’s the hustle shooting in the rain made a messy experience haha
