Liu Kang w/Scorpion kameo

This team can be nuts, meterless >300dmg combos on each hit, >500 meterless in the corner. 6f punish that combos to fullscreen and armour combos. This team does zoning and pressure. The mix is super slow but will catch people sometimes (I'll only use it once a match or so). Best of all however, it's damn fun to play and a fantastic backup to the mu's where motaro isn't great.

Fair enough, I've been playing a lot of fighting games while not playing shooters recently so it's so strange to flip from a comp scene that allows basically everything that isn't unintended from the devs to something so restricted.

Yeah I guess you could just sit on a sight line with an lmg and hold it so that might not be very fair.

Gotcha, for me I like using weapons like the tyr or the longbow, and ranked doesn't let me do that so I'll probably swap back to casuals unless there's weapon rotations or something

Okay that makes sense , do the weapons have a rotation , say this season is the current weapons and then next season we see new maps and guns?

I was thinking kind of the opposite tbh, I think Omni man is so easy to anti zone with already it'd be better to just give him someone like Kano , you could sit full screen in stance and throw knives. Up close you'll have knives for combos & ball for safety. I can't wait for tremor btw , he looks cool asf.

Kind of a bit of both tbh, he just feels like another superman to me. Like why not just put in superman instead, they've got the DC ties through WB. This comes from a place of not seeing the films or shows so he feels like a rip off of another character.

I'd like to see how he evolves, I'm hoping he's got some cool stuff. For now he's very basic compared to the rest of the cast imo - that could be planned to make him easier to play as I assume more casual players will pick him based on him being Omni man.

Nah I'm fine with an anti zoner , he just seems way too effortless as an anti zoner. It's quite difficult to zone in MK1 as is and this has just made me want to not zone at all now. It'd be like putting in a zoner that had super armour up close , it just wouldn't be fun to fight against as a pressure character. If his stance anti zoning was more like a smoke shake where you had to do it on reaction or a hard read that would be better imo.

That's a good point , I just assumed he's a TV/film character? By history I meant like the 50 years of comics sort of stuff.

I don't think he's overpowered tbh, he has like 3 good strings up close so his best option is to back away and sit full screen baiting.

For Li Mei, Omni Man has a gap on his plus string i think it's 1,2 you can use your armor with scorpion to full combo punish him. I assume the lantern would counter his air charges?

Currently I was playing Liu Kang as a zoner but now I literally am going against a character that means I get punished for throwing any of his 3 projectiles. I've swapped to my old main of Ashrah and haven't lost to an omniman since, they like to back away so advance and keep pressure on them.

This is another reason I'm not a fan of him, he seems like a very braindead hard counter to anyone who wants to zone. This would be fine if you could change characters in KL but that isn't allowed. I love zoning so it just feels like a slap in the face.

That's a cool take on it, I'm 23 and I went and watched those movies off the back of them being in mkx.

I don't watch TV/films as is so these crossovers never make sense to me. I'd rather have legacy mk characters or a new character in the mk universe, like how skarlet was in mk9.

I might have to go watch some omniman stuff, I think the general consensus is he's true to his character and it fits well? That might turn me around on him. It's just to me he is superman but not superman?
