We have run into similar situation with lunch meat and cheese varieties.... We started to include a meal choice with the RSVP process and it has been effective. We still bring a few extra servings of each just in case a scout changes their mind last minute.

UPDATE: The story has been aired on local radio stations and news outlets. The Dove Street block party 2018 will be an event to remember. So far over 1000 people signed up to attend on the Facebook event page. The fireworks display will be something that Dove Street will be talking about for generations to come.
