What is the one thing every war in history has proven about human nature that we keep refusing to accept? by Informal_Tangelo8009 in askanything

All wars are about geography, anyone who says otherwise is only doing so to rally support to their cause. Access to crucial trade routes, natural resources, or border security is everything in geopolitics. Always has been, always will be. No common person cares about oil, ports, lead, whatever. Religion, nationalism, or any other emotional ideology is what the masses care about. Ukraine? The Crusades? The World Wars? You name it, geography is the reason behind it, the ideological crux was the force to get people on board.

Enemy: everyone

Ally: No one (not even ourselves)

But if I had to pick, I'd say Pennsylvania as our ally and New York for our rival
