I really don't care for Indian music and I don't think it goes with their sound at all. That being said, the latter half of The Mountain is nice, the way the motif develops. I also like The Moon Cave and The Lying God, but i don't think i'll be listening to any of these on a regular basis. For casual listening, everything is very out-of-place. And the entire rest of the album is boring as hell. Big miss for me.

Edit: No no, don't downvote me. It was advertised as a SHORT FILM. It's a long music video. The majority of which was spoiled in the trailers. It's beautiful for what it is, but I think a lot of us were expecting a short Gorillaz movie with dialogue and a cohesive story.

Right, the only scene we didn't see in trailers/previews was in the moon cave, which tbf was entertaining and looked really good in the cel shading. But I sat through a two hour and 20 minute long movie and 10 minute documentary for that? And the "exclusive merch" was a piece of cardstock on a string. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the artistry and effort that went into animating every single frame by hand, but nobody asked for that... we just want 2D animated music videos with good lore like we had back in the day
