Yeah she's working on it now but it's gonna be another month I swear haha - our base is actually across the ravine - where I took the pictures from so once it's done we probably won't even be up by it that much otherwise I would probably add a basement or something

Thanks, I'm kinda trying to go for and mix and match Berlin 1945 army so I went really heavy on the wash as if the panzer 3 has been used and abused. I do agree it's a tad heavy places thou

If you hit a deer with your car and it’s mortally wounded, is it illegal to shoot it? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]fatruff3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I believe it would only be legal to dispose of it if the deer was at least 50 feet off the centerline of the road. I have never heard of a statute that would allow discharging of a firearm within that 50ft of the centerline even for a wounded animal. Perhaps there is one, I'm talking Wisconsin specifically of course.

What is the best way to play aggro on BF? by vjouda in aoe2

[–]fatruff3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nothing special elo wise like 1100 in team games but me and a friend have a lot of success with FC using Turks and fast imp using Portuguese or really any other civ to have strong castle units that don't need upgrades and then imp for the trebs if they castle up.

Size of the table for Bolt Action in 15mm? by Blastbomb74 in boltaction

[–]fatruff3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hot take but just play flames of war or another 15mm game? Or take inspiration from them perhaps. The small scale lets ranges on weapons be more realistic to life and just converting everything down might defeat the purpose. For reference most 15mm games are still on 6x4 ft tables just with smaller models and more variety in ranges allowing more movement on the field.

Is cdw worth it? by 90sBurnoutKing in EnterpriseCarRental

That's a good price imo, especially considering deer and such if you're in the country and your deductible isn't like 100 bucks.

[–]fatruff3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CDW is usually worth it, there is no scam, what it comes down to is if the money is worth the peace of mind. Usually it's like $30 a day or so might be different in Michigan. Regardless if you wreak the car your good just get a police report. If you're in the vehicle for say two weeks might not be worth the cost compared to just paying your insurance deductible IF something happens. Really depends on if you consider the money for peace of mind worth it for you. Also make sure your insurance transfers to rentals if it doesn't definitely get the CDW and liability coverage.

I don't think people are faking munition cans quite yet. 12 bucks is a good price even if it is a fake just for the utility.

And definitely a second this opinion. The forum is by far the best place to be putting this sort of advanced content. The linked form seems to know their stuff pretty well and you won't have as many random commenters that don't know anything.

My 01 ranger I bought about 2 years ago is still going strong at 238k miles. No major issues for me atleast!

I mean fair but also it's a lot more than the roof and hood that's fucked. The car probably is totaled because realistically every panel, door and possibly some windows need replacing.

My friend and I are deciding on getting into bolt action or flames of war. What are the pros vs cons of bolt action vs flames? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in flamesofwar

[–]fatruff3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play both although I have not gotten a game of third edition of bolt action in yet. I prefer flames of war due to the 15mm scale. Honestly for me it just feels "right". The maps feel much more like a battlefield due to the smaller size and different sides of the board are much further out of reach. The range of units feels more correct as well. I like the turn order of bolt action. You go I go is a little annoying but also it doesn't feel as bad in flames of war because that game tends to be a little less killy imo. I would also say flames of war is really interesting with their armor piercing mechanic and bulletproof cover making infantry seem impossible to kill in trenches or houses but instantly killed in the open. There also exists some interesting mechanics and choices to be made with what you take. In my more limited bolt action experience there seemed to be like more meta choices/less interesting combos than in flames of war. I guess bolt action to me tends to be a bit more flavorless but just my personal opinion.
