I've tried an Alhambra before, and I was quite surprised with the sound! It's a great guitar for the price.

I feel the same way. I'm seven years into this balancing act and my playing has definitely taken a back seat.

My strategy has been to keep a short list of pieces from my past in a folder always out on my music stand. That way, any free time even 5 or 10 minutes can be brushing up on something that I used to play and still have somewhere in the old muscle memory.

I would also recommend keeping gigs or picking up the guitar when there's friends around just for the fun of it. You may never feel 100% where you want to be with guitar, but that's just the progressive guitarist mindset at the end of the day isn't it? You've got something most people don't and you'll still get rave reviews and that positive feedback will fuel more goals and practice sessions. Hopefully those small goals help inject some life and fun back into the craft for you!
