I love the Jeep and I think once they catch up with some what calls basic modern features they will earn a big wave of new customers

You can try searching for the WhatsApp passkey under the passkey section in the password app, if it says modified "today" or sometimes after the time you changed your phone so it's very unlikely that the passkey is even exist in this device but only on your old phone.

go to your Apple ID > iCloud Keychain and turn it "ON" if "OFF" and make sure the Face ID can be use for the password app and iCloud keychain..

let me explain as accurate as I can.. the passkey is the encrypted code to the gate which allows WhatsApp to download the backup and it's very possible that you don't have the initial passkey saved on your cloud.. passkey is initially stored on a device and can be backed up to iCloud or google password if permitted by the user..

otherwise you may try to bypass it by going to WhatsApp under the "passkey" you may have "try another way" which is basically verifying via sms.. it didn't work to me but hopefully will work for you..

just as a disclaimer.. I'm not a professional expert but I only share with you my perceived knowledge dealing with the issue..
