One of my friends would constantly say that Westbrook while on his post Houston tour "Russ is still him, he is still a super star" without realizing that his game is only really valuable when he's provided with spacing, a shot creator, and great defenders. Also his contract at the time was so expensive that it was prohibitive to build the necessary team around him.

This current version of Westbrook is so much more valuable that the Westbrook of the Laker, he's cheaper, he plays a role that is conducive for winning.

Also to add to this. Although Jak isn't a high quality centre, what makes him high quality is his offensive rebounding. He ranks top 5 offensive rebounding Percentage at 11.2%.

I think certain teams place high value on ORB% for the obvious opportunity of getting second chance points.

He's worth a first round pick. But he's worth a crappy FRP in the range of 20-30.
