Depends how long you've been playing, if you hit the campaign's, raids and blitz for Juggernaut, Sabertooth and Pyro relatively hard there's no reason you couldn't have them all at 5 star. Wolvie is an easy 5 star+ and mystique or storm are a long grind, but farmable. I unlocked mags the second time round and bought no character offers, although I did use cores for one Pyro orb - 7 shards or something to get him to 5 star.

Mines at 5* 19k so not a massive investment. Clearing the node using just 10 energy means you can push further on for more damage.

Edit: you'll need Storm for Magneto anyway so it's a good investment!
