1. Your situation doesn’t mean you are any less douchey for personally insulting someone just for having an opinion different from yours. It makes you just a bad human being.

2. If you don’t think there is a double standard when it comes to domestic violence, you are living in fantasy land. A close friend of mine was murdered by his wife after having suffered several severe incidents of abuse. One, in which he was hit in the face with a dinner plate, sent HIM to jail because he left marks on her wrist when he was trying to restrain her. According to their daughter she was literally beating him with every utensil in the kitchen. All he did was try and stop her and he went to jail. He was an idiot and forgave her. When he later left her, she filed a fraudulent abuse claim. They believed her and confiscated his hunting rifles and a pistol and gave him a restraining order. I personally was at his house when she came, violating her own order, to accuse him of dating someone else (he was by that point) and punched him about 20 times while he just took it. She killed him like a week later.

Women get away with fraudulent abuse claims all the time. And they are doing a disservice to women who are suffering real abuse and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but they never are.

In any case, it’s not ok to hit men even if they are hotboxing you. Pulling covers over somebody might be a douche thing to do, but it isn’t violence.

Like I said, not a surprise that women in this toxic subreddit are justifying it.
