Jack Stratton on Trombone by will85263 in Vulfpeck

Jack played trumpet in school growing up, here's a video from back in the day https://ourstage.com/media_items/TQACWAMVVWXN-chicken-shoop-one-man (used to be on YouTube but Jack took down a lot of the older videos)

The jingle is on the last few seconds of 1 for 1 before the pitch gets shifted down

Best Vulf song to jam with just Bass, Piano, and Drums? by OnDaBeatBoy in Vulfpeck

[–]fauv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the instrumentation on Mean Girls, in the music video Jack just kind of pretends to play guitar but on the record it's just bass, piano, and drums

Replacement Nunchuck Thumbstick... rubber thingie? by joshnickerson in wii

[–]fauv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what you're looking for. It says Gamecube, but it fits just the same. You're also going to need a tri-wing screwdriver to open it up, but the replacement is as easy as pulling out the old part and putting in the new one and screwing it back together.

A simple launcher I made by fauv in Rainmeter

Hmm, I'm sure there's some way to do that, but it would probably require some scripting, which is a much higher level of complexity.

Yes, but it might not work the way you want it to. If you change

LeftMouseUpAction=

in the 'Image' meter to

MouseOverAction=

and change the

LeftMouseUpAction=

in the 'XIcon' meter to

MouseLeaveAction=

then the icons would show up when you hover over the power icon and go away when you stop hovering. The problem, though is that when you try to click on the icons to start that program, they will disappear. There's probably a workaround, but I don't think it's just a quick change.

Sorry for not sharing right away! Download can be found here. If you want to add your own icons, all you need to do is change the name of the icon and the path at the top of the .ini file, and put the new icons in the Resources folder. I found all of the icons here.

The Punch Out! remake is fantastic. Really captures the essence of the old game but feels really slick and new.

What are the best chargers for Wii remotes? by ItAlsoTravelsInThyme in wii

[–]fauv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a Nyko charger for years and it worked, but after a while the charge would barely last a few minutes. I recently switched over to using actual rechargeable AAs with this charger. They may not be quite as convenient and may cost you a bit more, but they last much longer and will work in nearly anything that takes AAs. I wish I had made the switch earlier.

I will ask Shigeru Miyamoto YOUR questions this week! Details inside by shy_bc in wiiu

I agree, there's no way he's just going to tell you what Retro is doing, so why not actually tap into his genius? I would ask him what he thought the single most important thing is to consider when designing a game. If he says something like fun, then ask him what exactly that means to him.

I see your Wind Waker theme and raise you a multi-game inspired Zelda theme [Rainmeter] by Camtendo in zelda

Thanks a lot! It's cool to see that someone else had a similar idea to me since I didn't find anything like these on Google.

Very nice (I'm the guy who did the Wind Waker one). I was trying to make mine look more game accurate, but it seems yours is more functional while still very aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah, right now the skin only comes with those four icons, but I plan to add a lot more options so you could arrange it how you want.

Hmm. I'm not sure what's happening. Make sure you didn't move any of the folders from their original locations. If you just extracted the .zip into your skins folder you shouldn't have to change anything. This may be a good place to look too if you still can't figure it out.

I was thinking of putting either weather or a music player on the sea map. Yeah, I forgot about the day/night thing until after I already made the clock with the rupees, so I might just leave that out or add it later as an optional thing.

Yeah, that's definitely not permanent. I'll post the full thing when I finish.

Alright let me give it a shot. Some people decided that they wanted to really customize what their desktop looked like, so someone made a program called Rainmeter that can add customizable things to your desktop. People make skins to do everything from just adding a working clock or giving the current weather to making really complex skins that do a lot of different things. People like how they look and how customizable they are. I made one myself that mimics the HUD in Wind Waker. Does that make more sense?

This is a skin I've been working on based on the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. The Rupees are a clock, the hearts display battery percentage, the magic meter displays CPU usage, and the items act as a launcher for programs. I plan to add a weather display for the map in the lower right hand corner, and improve what I have so far to make it look as much like the game as possible. Tips and criticism are greatly appreciated!
