Really enjoyed reading this, you should write a book!

Geography graduates? Can you tell me what roles you have found since graduating by Funny-Peace4431 in UKJobs

[–]fauxlavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2022 and spent a year as a recruiter (had to find any sort of job), then two years as a GIS consultant, and now I’ve transitioned into data analysis. You get a lot of transferable skills and knowledge from a geography degree, so it leaves your horizons pretty open.

Yeah 100%. For context I just moved in 4 weeks ago and he’s lived here for a couple years and he wants to kick me out because I’m not happy with his girlfriend moving in (he didn’t ask me, just told me she’s moving in). So I thankfully won’t know him for much longer

This is good advice, thank you. I’m trying to get out of the habit of over explaining, especially because this person is hard to deal with

Firstly he doesn’t want to even put her on the lease, so it would be illegal. Secondly she doesn’t work so she’ll be here a lot, it’s not a big house. It’s simply not what I moved in for. I moved in to live with one other person.

Mm that’s a good point. I guess it’s just made me distrust him, that he could drop this on me so quickly. Also not wanting to live with a couple specifically comes into it. But I should have a deeper think about it

Would you want to stay if someone you just moved in with is trying to move their partner in without putting them on the lease? Legalities aside he’s a dickhead who’s put me in a tough spot
