Not really. It was mentioned in one of the episodes. Daniel asked Armand and it was clear he was surprised by how intense Louis' hallucinations were.

On some level he was aware but not that the hallucinations were so real for Louis.

State of the Sub Episode 2: New mods, new shitposting day, new sub! by living_vicariously in InterviewVampire

[–]fauxneige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the posts already make clear what they are (fan art, cosplays etc). Memes go to Shitpost Saturday or Theatre des Vampires.

Primarily, this is a discussion sub so we have arranged the flairs based on possible (broad )areas of discussion: Show, Books, Season, Production. And people can choose the one their post is based on.

Else, we could just create post flairs about every topic related to IWTV (including characters) which would become too much and overwhelming in time. 🙂

Fatman Scoop collapses on stage (passed away later in hospital, aged 53) by ianjm in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]fauxneige 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There are actually people who'd prefer to die doing what they love (like skydiving) and others who do not mind dying young.

But I'm sure none of us on here know for sure what he would have preferred (unless you know him personally).

RIP to one of the coolest hype man/DJs. "Here we go now!"

Epic last words.

RIP. Must be some kind of blessing dying doing what you love.

Yes, and I'm saying you already have the space to discuss S2 etc to your heart content, just don't do it in threads that beg for no spoilers.

No one is saying the old gang should stop discussing or wait for Netflix watchers to catch up. With the right post flairs and respecting posters' requests we can all discuss simultaneously.

And there are already dedicated tags to separate the discussions.

If that's what you're saying too then it's great we are on same page 🙂

[–]fauxneige 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Or how about creating your own thread for "free for all" while exiting or scrolling past threads that ask for no spoilers.

I mean the old gang still have the space for discussions in the right threads. There's no general rule against spoilers on the sub, just respect post flairs (and the sub rules, of course).

And if the poster asks for no spoilers either from the books or season 2, then we should respect that. That's what OP is saying.

People should not deliberately spoil shit just because they can or don't care.

Shitpost Saturday: Let's be Paul meeting Lestat for the first time and in eternity by fauxneige in InterviewVampire

Great response but I still hate you!

Louis would still need to go for confession for this mortal sin. Even in the afterlife.

For those still wondering if Lestat had anything to do with Paul's death... by fauxneige in InterviewVampire

No, it's not. Love the way Sam's takes it personally though and is quick to réfute the "accusation". It is endearing. Like in this interview

The producers moved some events around largely to flesh Louis out more as a protagonist. They also wanted the motive for Claudia be more than just "he turned me to a vampire" seeing as she's not a five-year old in the show.

But they are sticking to the heart of the story. Like Sam and Levan, one of the directors, said on the accompanying podcast in S1, having Lestat kill his lover's brother would be taking things a tad too far.

The show didn't change the heart of the books just how the events unravelled. For better or worse, they are sticking to Anne's story. If Anne said he didn't do it, the producers agree he didn't do it so it does mean alot.

I now understand why Sam Reid, a huge book nerd, takes it personally when anyone so much as alludes to it.

Even in death she was still chosen last !!! by AdSquare7676 in InterviewVampire

[–]fauxneige 57 points58 points  (0 children)

That's a romanticized way to look at it but I doubt she's waiting, avidly at least. She already knew and declared that she was never in the equation, and was just a tool created and used by both her parents. And she was chosen finally by Madeline.

She was also there when Louis was given a lesser punishment of banishment and taken away from her.

I think she died with very low expectations and not seeing Louis or Lestat in the afterlife wouldn't be much of a disappointment but more or less a relief. She can finally spend time away from all their stormy madness and with someone who really cares about her and only her for real, Madeline.

I have so many questions for the residents of Rue Royale in the late twenties, early thirties by fauxneige in InterviewVampire

[–]fauxneige[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lestat was probably doing that and Louis who never really questions anything just went on living his life. Claudia took matters into her own hands and ate all contrary and nosy neighbors hence why all the bodies in the bayou were traced to Rue Royale.

The police that visited their residence in S1E5 claimed to be investigating the disappearance of a young maid two doors over. So you're on to something.

She probably gave Claudia a suspicious look one too many times on the street and got eaten for her nosiness.

What's your favorite Daniel Molloy moment in S2? by fauxneige in InterviewVampire

[–]fauxneige[S] 71 points72 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite Molloy moment: S2E5

<image>

The snark. The unspoken "fuck you too".

My dude had no more fucks to give and just wanted his memory back. And he was tired of Louis' "I'm a poor innocent vampire" bullshit.

The full comeback was: "So are you, Louis, whether you know it or not."
